No, and they're assuming an exact 15% drivetrain loss so the number could be completely inaccurate.

And numbers to the crank are fairly meaningless anyway. Using their 15% loss and getting to the actuals means more.

I'd expect it to be in line with what they said honestly. Should probably see around 4.8 0-60, maybe 4.7. Traction will become more of an issue.

That's being optimistic but not out of the question.

We will know more when forum members actually get the tune on their cars and report back. I am certainly interested in the ppk. Its between the performance power kit and the Dinan tune to be released sometime this spring/summer for me. Performance combined with driveability is important to me and will be the determinant.

The 335is RWD did 0-60 in 4.5 seconds in one of the mags. Sounds possible to me.

I added this to my 2008 135i N54 a couple of years ago. I did dyno runs before and after. Not only was the car originally underrated by approx 22hp, the kit was underrated by approx 11hp. Same goes for the torque. After the kit I'm somewhere around 350bhp and run quicker than my friend's e92 M3 up to about 85mph. Then his extra hp takes over. Trust me, you'll feel the difference with the kit. It's worth the money for the peace of mind having the warranty too.

Stock: 281whp or ~ 322bhp
With PPK: 306whp or ~ 350bhp

I am on my 4th 3 series BMW in 13 years and have never considered any modifications before. For $1,000 this is the first one that I am seriously considering

Sheesh that's quick. Wonder if it was on stock runflats and if it was with a 1 foot roll out or not. Conditions and tires play a big factor when we get down under 5 seconds.

If they were able to get little to no wheelspin, it would probably outperform the awd model as that one weighs more and it's real advantage is launch traction.

Very cool, I plan on doing the m sport bumpers too. I already have the m performance muffler, can you chime in how much the software costs?

I guess my point was, F30's have different intake piping, different cats/piping, and possibly different tune parameters even though numbers are quoted the same. I'd rather see what an actual F30 would do.

I hate to bring math into it but baseline for this car is 275rwhp vs PPK 292rwhp. If you factor in drivetrain loss of 15% people use two ways.

(1.15 x rwhp) Stock 275rwhp x 1.15 = 316.25hp PPK 292rwhp x 1.15 = 335.8hp
OR
(rwhp / .85) Stock 275rwhp / .85 = 323.52hp PPK 292rwhp / .85 = 343.52hp

Difference is 19.55hp to 20hp

If I could get this for 1k installed...it would be a done deal. I could care less for 12BHP at the crank gained from BMS Stage 1 vs the PPK. At least I know I don't ever have to worry about warranty and plus you get all the cool Performance Kit trimmings under the hood

Finally a reliable tune for the f30 can't wait to see what dinan has in stored. Hopfully the flash will re-tune the sport mode gauges. An f30 335i with this tune and m-perf would tops hit 4.9 - 5.0 flat to be able to do that quicker with just two basic perf upgrades dosent sound to modest. Perhaps a beefier tune, full cat back, oil cooler, intercooler, fmic meth kit, turbos done up + other mods to shed weight running e87 list goes on. Although this is a step better then the last tune for the e90 335i

I rather be excited for a PPK for the N20...

And I am sure the new M3/4 will be like a 335is on steroids

But for the price and warranty guarantee and that it will make the perf exhaust sounds better, this PPK is worth the small change or the first step for new modifiers - plus your engine will run cooler and you will get fuel mileage if you drive it normal

No I am saying that skews the results. You are not seeing just the PPK as the F30 does not include the exhaust.

I hate when dyno numbers are provided without a baseline.

1) Run a baseline dyno

2) Install the tune

3) Dyno again

4) Post the baseline AND the post-install dyno

5) ???

6) Profit!!!
