F30 w/ Red Leather - Which trim to get? Pics?
Hey guys,
Enough of my bitching about getting an F30 instead of an F36 - time to get excited. Trying to finalize my build and ORDER!! I am going with Estoril Blue Exterior and Coral Red Leather... Which interior trim are you guys choosing with that red leather? The pics on BMWNA website doesn't seem to depict the options in a clear visible manner. Got any pics of yours to share?! Thanks in advance!

The only trim I would choose would be "Alcantara / Carbon" , which is $925.00 port-installed-accessory that can be residualized
But, to get the best view on the factory installed options - I used UKs site for a better close-up ... http://www.bmw.co.uk/vc/ncc/xhtml/st...h2d0q7n6#TRIMS edit: make sure you select at least 330 or so for a better set of available trims that you can view |

We have the anthracite wood in the wagon, which is dark enough look almost black on most days:
https://flic.kr/p/BH7jKv And I had custom CF made for the 335: https://flickr.com/photos/92687979@N...57683433724022 I really like the Anthracite the most of all the stock trims, but if you can go Piano Black, that's the tits. If not, I can refer you to the person that did my custom CF, which I also really dig.

Order another trim, sell it for ~$400 and the Alcantara / Carbon becomes that much cheaper. Might even get someone to prebuy it if they get to select trim in advance. |

I got the aluminum trim from the factory with mine, here are pics.
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1436673 I really like it. Personally though the Estoril Blue/Red combo is a little strong for my taste. I went with the gray exterior. Charles

I'd go with the Aluminum Dark Carbon with Pearl Gloss Chrome highlight as well. Looks really good.

I don't think the red and blue go but each to their own. For that reason I will say a metal interior would work. Not the brushed one but the aluminium hexagon effect version.

Do anything but wood trim. Aluminum, gloss black, or CF.

Aluminium would work for sure. I picked up the CF/ Alcantara for $735 and may sell my brushed interior which would get at least $350 back...
The darkness of the dry carbon will look good against the red.

I loved my gloss black trim on coral red interior. It was such a pain to keep the center console scratch free though. Scratched seemed to show up more on them. Carbon fiber is much easier to maintain.
I miss my 328i. I actually got more compliments for the 328i interior than the M3 interior.

According to BMW's online configurator you can no longer get aluminum hex (or brushed aluminum) with piano black finishers. That is my ideal trim across virtually any color with red or black interior.
Based on the configurator, I would say Aluminum Dark Carbon with Pearl Gloss Chrome highlight like what jmg posted.

I got the brushed aluminum with black high-gloss highlights on my 2017 F32 (white with red interior) and I really like it, but it doesn't seem to be available in 2018.

I think the brush aluminum scratches if I recall. At least the US version. I went with the fake looking Carbon. Looks great.

One might argue that wood grain is for Buicks.

The old school brown fake wood, sure. Never seen a Buick with a black stained wood in it. Every cheap car I've owned has had aluminum trim in it. It just doesn't have a luxury feel to it for me. My first choice would be gloss carbon fiber like the M cars, but unfortunately it's not an option

IMO not of the fan of the Superman car.. Estoril w/ coral interior. Estoril and Coral red are a feature, but on their own. It would be one or the other for me. But that’s the beauty of configuring your own car!
