328i N20/N26 Evolution Racewerks Intake Sound!
Hi Everyone!
I've had a number of requests so a coworker was kind enough to upload this video shot a couple weeks ago. In the video, the only mods the car has are Evolution Racewerks intake and downpipe. The intake really brings out the sound of the diverter valve! From in the cabin it is noticeable if you know what to listen for. When trying to point out the sound to passengers that were not car enthusiasts, they said they couldn't hear anything different/had no clue what I was talking about. All in all, the intake was a fun mod with only slight performance benefits but a large increase in sound/driving experience. While it increased some engine noise and the diverter "PSHH," it did so at levels entirely acceptable. Now if only we could ditch that diesel sound at cold start N20/N26 owners know too well... For anyone interested in the intake contact www.evolutionracewerks.com (they are a site sponsor). They should have both N20 & N26 versions available!

Nice, thanks for sharing. The exhaust sound will probably be fixed with Eisenmann or M-performance exhaust.

Good call! Eisenmann is first on my list at the moment, just need to receive confirmation they will produce one for the N26 as well (N20 & N26 systems are not 100% compatible)

We have a modular style exhaust system coming out soon as well. The exhaust will have different options for different sections depending on the needs of our customers. Customers can choose between sport or race section 3 and easily swap them out without needing to purchase a whole new exhaust

Pics? Cost? I can't find it on the website, the only thing I'm finding for the N20/N26 is the downpipe.
TIA,

We finished building the exhaust about a week ago. Running it on our car now for extended time testing. Once that is done we will have info ready

From the inside of the vehicle you can hear the spool much better. Difficult to hear outside due to the engine noise though!

I've done many installs myself but in this case was lucky enough to have this part installed for me. Based on location, looks very easy though. I imagine to just disconnect the MAF, disconnect the vacuum line, unbolt a few things, then repeat in reverse.

Posted some pics in a thread in the F30 328i section, probably a better place for topics like this! Thread is here -> http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12715622
