Way to sync both temperature dials?

I used to be able to sync the dials in my Audi so that both could be controlled by the same dial if I didn't want dual climate control. It was a great feature cuz I almost never wanted dual.

I can't seem to find this feature for the life of me in my new bmw.

Is this possible?

It's actually embarrassing that you can't do that in a 50-60 thousand dollar car. Three series sales declining BMW, wake up and smell the coffee...

Maybe they're on the decline because of the impending release (G20 I think?). It's not that unusual for any given series (of any car) to drop off if there's a new design in the wings.

My X3 has it, but my wife's 3 and my 2 don't...In any case, is that 'sync' button really that big of a deal? Really?

No it's not really a big deal, but what's the big deal with BMW to exclude that. My X5 has it and we use it all the time especially in summers. The whole point is when you pay that much for a car it'd be nice to have these. My Subaru has it and it's way less expensive

I've always wondered what's automatic about the climate control? The fans don't spin down, the the temp stays constant. In our Audi, the fan does spin down making it automatic.

This is another thing that doesn't make sense in a 50-60k car. You get this in the 5 series and there is a price overlap between the models. My Camry even has this feature and that was a few years ago. The other thing that doesn't make sense is why the power window motors are slower than any other modern car. Seems they shouldn't need to cut costs on a car in this price range.

Sure you can, just loop an elastic rubber band around the two knobs and voila, synchronized temperature!

My old Subaru even had it... I do miss that function. Not a deal breaker but annoying.

My 2004 Chevy Trailblazer had it, and that thing was a piece of crap!

Regardless, nice to have, but not a deal breaker though. The warden always turns her side up hotter anyway...

When in auto you'll notice the fan speed change after a few seconds as you change temperature. Say you went from high to low on a hot day.

The system is quite sophisticated using thermostats, a/c and, auto recirculation if left active.

So you won't always hear a fan change but the system will aim for the set temperature and maintain it.

Way better than hearing a fan go crazy all the time in a set up with no knurled wheel to drop the temperature more for summer sun.

My wife's Audi has a 3 zone, in that case it's pratical cause you can't access the knob in the back seat when driving (we have a young child in the back)

My 2010 3 series had it... But really the dials are right next to it!

My 2017 fans drop in speed when I'm on the phone! That's cool!

I don't like to hearing the fan, u can set the temp and limit fan speed. That's really nice, takes longer to cool/heat but at least the fan is not roaring like crazy. (Except on defrost). I could do that on my wife's old a7 but since we have the s5 2018 can't seem to limit fan speed on auto

There's only two kinds of music: country and western.

And the only way to listen to them is on an 8 track. Yee haw.
