M Performance Grilles installed on Mineral Grey

Here is my 2012 Mineral Grey 328i. It is the base model with Sportline suspension installed. Going from base model suspension to Sport, only seamed to drop the rear of the car the claimed 10mm, the front seems more like 5mm on a good day. It did however firm up the ride by about 20% which was exactly what I wanted. Not sure if I really like the black grilles yet, but I saw some people here asking how it would look so here ya go!

Damn, how can BMW even release a sport sedan that is as high as the F30? My old E92 with sport suspension was perfect in the rear and only needed a slight drop in the front. But this baby needs a couple of inches front and rear.

Thanks for sharing! Have been waiting for someone to post these grilles and rim on Mineral Grey... now I just need to convince my better half to get these

BTW, what were those rims? Size? Staggered?

Exactly. For some reason, BMW has made the ride height about 1" taller than the e90, and more than an inch taller than the e92. I compared a sport model F30 to a sport model e90 at the dealer yesterday and it was a 1" difference. The e90 actually looks like it is lowered on aftermarket springs in comparison!

The wheels are 18X8.5 et35 on all four. Tires are factory size sport tires: 225/45/18.

Its strange that the tires on the e90/92 M3 with the 18" wheel option and 245/40/18, look so much taller than my 45 series tires

Those grilles go great on MG with the black wheels. Coating the exhaust tips in gloss black would finish off the look nicely, IMHO.

How come your diffuser is black?

Did you paint it? Or am I missing something?

Nice and really feeling the look. I think youre the only one with mineral grey and black rim combo. Are those BBS rims?

I think you should tint the windows 30-35% all around to really complete the look

Looks good. Are your wheels almost flush to the fenders? Are you running any spacers?

That car looks tough. Love those rims... Are those also M Performance rims? I think I've seen an F10 with those rims and its quite nice.

Black rims, black grille, debadged... Great setup man!

Thanks! The wheels are M3 GTS replicas in 18"

No spacers on 18X8.5 et35 all around. The wheels are right to the edge, however if the car was dropped on H&R sports, the rear wheel would camber in a little more and reveal that a 5mm spacer could be used

No, just 18" M3 GTS replicas

That would look great!

I checked out a sportline car to see if the exhaust tips are bolted on, and it looks like they are welded, but I definitely want to do black tips, probably the next mod I do!

Thanks Brandon!

Quick question: I will be picking up an Alpine White 328i very soon and I plan to vinyl wrap the roof and diffuser. However I was thinking of doing gloss black instead of matte black. Any suggestions?

I decided to go for gloss black because the car is in white but had I chosen a darker colour like MG or Havanna I would've gone with matte. Do u agree?

Thanks again for helping out!!!

Ah yes! I have seen your car. I live in pasadena and I am pretty sure you park in the same structure as me. I want to see your F30! Is it sportline?

Great choice with gloss black. If my car were white, or glacier silver I would have done gloss black. On mineral grey however, the gloss black didnt really show up well, so I did matte to give the diffuser more contrast.

Yup same structure. I work over at sprint. I got the base model. I figured since I will be lowering it and getting aftermarket wheels and what not, I didn't need any packages. The only thing I don't like is that my headlights don't have the rings :/ didn't notice til after
