The Good News: No Steering Wheel Vibration!

The Bad News:
1. Driver-side door Window/Sunshade/Mirror buttons do not work.
2. Blind spot indicator lights on side mirrors do not work
3. Comfort Access Trunk (hands-free) does not work
4. Brakes squeal
5. Wipers chirp

Took delivery: Oct 31 (6pm)
Into service dept: Nov 2 (7am)

Service tells me they'll need to order parts (switch block and antennas) and I won't have my car until (maybe) middle of next week. Ironically, items 1-3 DID work when I took delivery. Oh well... but hey, NO steering wheel vibration.. did I mention that?!

The dealership should have inspected your vehicle properly and repaired it prior to delivery unless of course this stuff all just quit working after you took delivery.

Reading all of the things going wrong with people's cars on here makes me nervous of taking delivery of my car.

Its an Internet forum. People rarely come to sing the brand's praises. They usually seek out forums to vent frustrations.

Before I took delivery of my 2010 335i the forums had several active threads discussing fuel pump issues, injector problems, turbo rattling, etc.. Way more active than the steering vibration and few other complaints of the F30.

BTW, my 335i is still on its original fuel pump and to date has had one problem in its 3 year existence. A failed tail lamp.

I've heard about never buy a car built on a Monday or Friday, but never an entire month. But in Germany, sounds about right.

Oktoberfest ended October 7th in Munich, I believe. At least according to the Oktoberfest.de website. It began in late September and ran for about two weeks.

I bought mine during Oktoberfest.

Only issue I've had so far was a squeaky driver's seat because a clip was missing, which was just fixed.

Had a M Perf Exhaust installed before delivery, as well as waiting on M Perf Suspension...don't worry. I'm singing praises to balance out all the whining!!!

My brakes squeal like a mother. I didn't realize it until I had the window down in the office parking garage. Just braking at parking lot speed was ridiculous. I only have 435 miles on it, so I'll give it some more time.

The brake dust is the worst I can remember of any of my prior BMWs.

Took delivery on Oct 26th. No vibration, no brake squeeling, no rattles, everything works fine.

Vibration is only if you do not have DHP. (I don't have any at all)

Squeeling is only if you do have M-sport package/breaks. (I have it)

Rattles are pretty random. (I don't have any)

500 miles on it already. Really, just the squeeling bothers me (~10 mph).

I only commented that I don't have any issues and am happy because the comment was made that people only post when something is wrong.

BTW, I don't have DHP.
