With the introduction of the Gran Coupe BMW has solidified that it's model names are mostly just that-- names. If it bothers you that much I'd debadge not rebadge. I think badges are mostly an American thing anyway. Most Bimmers you see in Munich are debaged. So if you are trying to be authentic that's the way to go.

Also, I wouldn't go as far as calling the 328i and "M320i" because I don't think every 328i is worth an M badge, nor the 335i. What if I get a base model 328i? Would you slap an M-badge on there with all the base model specs (Base suspension, No-Line, Standard Tranny)? That would make absolutely no sense. And Audi hasn't made a 2.0FSI since 2005. Also their lineup is completely different. A4, S4, RS4 is to 328i, 335i, M3 respectively. I wouldn't compare Audi badges with BMW.

Re-badge to "correct"? Huh? What? Either leave it alone, re-do it in black (to match M-Sport trim), or delete it altogether (did this on wife's 128i).

but seriously, I am going to debadge now. Enthusiast in the know, will know what I've done, but most enthusiast will already look down on my 328i when a huge majority are E9x N54's |
