Epoxy for flooring is certainly interesting, but I wouldn't risk it. It can lose its shape from any overheating (in summer for example). Plastic mats will probably slip, and it's not the strongest material. Rubber is fine, but will you be comfortable to collect spills (oil for example). I would look at the options, they have a series of floor coverings. And I don't think a jack will ruin them. I ordered a patio cover there where I have a barbecue. The skewers kept falling down and everything is still intact.

Epoxy comes with it own issues especially if your garage floor isn't new. I didn't want my cars sitting outside the garage for days while the garage floors were cleaned, the epoxy put down and then cured, so I went with Race Deck. It was easy to install and can be less expensive than epoxy depending on the options you pick.

I have the same dilemma. Whatever the surface - it needs to be washable (plastic tiles with cracks are out of the question I guess). There is no concern about heat this part of the continent - just lots of rain. Which is why it should be easy to clean/wash, without water getting to the concrete underneath.
Real epoxy is quite expensive and difficult to lay (need professionals, it is also a health-hazard during installation). The price offer I got a few years ago was outrageous - some people spend that money on a vehicle to put on top, not on surface! I have been recommended an "epoxy-paint" which is not the same as multi-layer epoxy underlay, but basically a durable a paint which is applied on top. Significantly less robust then epoxy, but cheaper and easier. Easier to repair as well, I assume. Not sure how durable it would be though, tires full of sharp stones in the winter... occasional jacking in the garage....?

I've had this plastic tile on my garage floor for almost a decade.
I prefer it to epoxy as it's warmer to walk on or lie on when working on cars, and stays clean as dust falls into the gaps in the tile.
