Alpine White
black leatherette with red highlights (dont need leather in FL)
Aluminum with red highlights
technology package
premium sound package
BMW apps
BMW assist
variable sport steering (added)
Adaptive M Suspension (added)

Order placed Feb 23rd lets see how long this takes to get delivered. Goin to be my first BMW!!

02/27/12 - Order accepted by BMW AG

Congrats on the order. You will have a blast with your first BMW. Should have tried ED. Thats what I did with my first one. Nothing like driving it on the Autobahn.

I wanted to do ED but when i looked into it, I had to order winter tires and maybe chains because its winter in Germany. Then it clicked to me that oh yeh its cold there now!!! and also i dont need winter tires here in FL.

Maybe i will plan better for the next one and order for summer

I bought. Its a manual and I paid $2100 under MSRP

I did my first ED in March and it snowed 1 day and I didnt have snow tires. Wasnt too bad at all.

Oh ok, I was on the ED site and it said I needed snow tires so i didn't look any further.

So your price was kind of in the middle between MSRP and Invoice - very close to what Edmunds.com determines as True Market Value at the moment. Did you have to negotiate a lot to come to that price?

I actually submit my request through edmunds and most dealers called me and said they can only do MSRP. I asked this one dealer if they can match and they said no but we will go as close as we can and thats how I got that price.

BMWFS @ 4.9%

Congrats man. I also have an Alpine 335i on order. Overall very similarly tricked out, but I got gray interior and black accent instead of red. You're gonna love it - my first (and only other) BMW was a 335i - nice choice going straight for the gusto.

Yeh, thanks man, I test drive them both and to be honest its like night and day. With 335 I was able to hit 130MPH on the on ramp to the highway and powering around corners was really fun. 328 is a nice car but just didnt seem to be as fun and price difference wasnt that big of a difference.

I cant wait and production still hasnt started as yet

Just added more options!!

CA said it looks like it could be another 2weeks before my productions begins and that Germany is so backed up that they have to submit all new orders over the next 2 months to South Africa.

I will wait patiently on my German build

Why did you decide to add variable steering and adaptive suspension, what made you change your mind? What is your price now after the additional options?

TBH, if it was me, I wouldn't care where my car was produced, South Africa or Germany, I rather have it ready earlier.

My Gti currently has a speed variable steering so I figure i should stick with it. I was reading a review that the adaptive M suspension performed better than the sport suspension during hard cornering.

I got the additional options at cost according to the CA.
Steering $275
Suspension $820

I am not sure about about BMW but I know with VW/Audi build quality differs between Germany and Mexico.

I got the leatherette as well almost same setup but black sapphire and no m suspension or variable sport steering. I'm a fellow Floridian! Waiting is the hardest part. About two to three weeks before I take delivery.

nice car... interested in seeing your timeline. i ordered my 335i similarly equipped as you on 2/18 and im still in 112 status. the wait is killing me. i just want the damn car to get into production at this point. the only good thing about the delay was that i was able to change my color to mineral white and add the 19" wheels
