I actually think my speedo is off because my total wheel size is slightly smaller than stock.

Could be.

Point is that when a 328i goes 0-60 it's faster than the 335i is going 0-60 because the 335i is actually only going 0-55.

LOL So i guess you are saying the 335i picks up speed after 60? Some how the 335i magically finishes the 1/4 mile in 13.1 vs the 328i in 14.1

Sure doesn't feel faster. Driving back to back, 328i feels a lot slower.

I have checked the Speedo on the loan car I have (328i Lux touring) and it's 2MPH out @ indicated 70MPH.
50 MPH and under it's spot on. Thats using a GPS system.
PS) No way is it quicker than an 335i.

Make it a point to see what a car can do... Car is for sure limited at roughly 160... Wants to go faster.

I apparently am out of touch because I thought 110 to 120 wasn't something that people would be afraid of... Cruised at 130 with a 535i msport last night for miles at an undisclosed location... Closed course with professional drivers of course

LOL dont you love when you come across a closed course with a professional driver waiting! I have yet to find a german car that does not feel good and loves 110+ However I have driven a few Japanese and American cars and even if they are sports cars or sports versions they all seem to get unstable and light over 120mph

My 335 I xdrive Alpine white luxury line is only two weeks old and still in the break in period, but back in the eighties, I bought a 5.0 mustang GT V8 modified through Piraña Auto, lowered, with racing gears, did 245 km/ hr in QWE going to Niagara Falls. Richmondhill to Niagra in less than 45 min. Crazy and that was in pouring rain. Can't imagine I'll ever go that fast with any car....

I was averaging 110+ on the autobahn when there's no traffic. Hit 125 but backed off since the car was still fairly new .

110 mph on a track. Was on the straight part of the track, but due to traffic on the track, I couldn't get into the power late into the straight, otherwise I know could've gone a lot faster. In my CLS, I hit 130 mph on the same stretch of straight (again with lots of cars on the track).

Uh, that's a fine solution until you get a Dutch speed camera ticket (93 mph) six weeks later when you are back home in California.

I've done 137 mph in a 2013 BMW 320d sport coupe in Germany (E45 outside of Ingolstadt) last summer. I've done 157 mph on the track in my Porsche Carrera.

I was the same when I was in my break-in period. I would hit 90ish and tell myself, "Easy bud, you don't want this car to eat as much as the Audi did." ..Even though it is now, haha.

Fastest I've gone in the 335i xDrive was 130 mph, but that's the limiter since the All-Seasons tires. However, my buddy and I topped out a stock 2007 Audi A4 2.0T with performance tires at 160 mph somehow though, that was scary fast. Never again, haha.

I miss the autobahn. Used to to 260 km/h quite often on the autobahn.

However in my F30 in Australia fastest is probably 120km/h. Just so many nazi police out there plus the roads are just not designed for speed, feels dangerous if going fast.

Talk about an old thread. Wow.

I've gotten my F30 335i up to 150mph (241 kph) when I had to back off due a wicked curve coming up.

My M6 I got up to 170mph (274kph). (This was in Mexico of course). There aren't many long roads here and the few that are almost always have traffic on them. Tough to find a spot to open up, and if you get busted going over 81mph anywhere on the island, you'll end up in jail.

Previously, I've maxed out my e90 335i wt the limiter. Fastest I've ever gone was in a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP during a drag where I hit 176 mph (283kph).

I was always amazed at how stable the BMWs are wt those high speeds.

I'm waiting for a F30 335d, but the highest speed i drove was in my 2009 335i E92, with 360hp and without the speed limiter. It was 179mph ( 288km/h ). You can se the vídeo here. The digital speed of the hidden menu is very acurate and reflects the real speed.

Mine has the speed limiter removed. Did 160mph on the tollway in the middle of the night Luckily there were no cops. Stayed there for 2 seconds and realized i don't want to go to jail and slowed down
