F36 GC power liftgate/hatch on hill issues.

Hey all, new here and loving the forum already. Lots of help you guys give out!

So I'm experiencing an issue with my power liftgate/hatch when parked on any sort of angled surface; whether it's incline or decline. Whenever the hatch tries to open it only gets to roughly 2 inches, and it gets stuck. The result is the same with it when it's trying to close on a hill, it gets stuck roughly after 2 inches of movement.

My guess is the weight of the large hatch on an angled surface that triggers the sensors into thinking that I'm stopping it? Anyone else experiencing this as well?

I park on a hill when I go to the gym and I never have this problem. What is the incline you are you on? Here is a pic of my car on the hill at the gym:

Lol! We definitely don't have those in SoCal!
