IND M-Sport Rear Reflector DIY?

I see all the information and DIY instructions for replacing the front reflectors but after searching for a while I can't find a detailed guide to replacing the rear reflectors especially with m-sport bumper.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

They take 2 minutes to remove. If you are looking at the back of the car there are 3 clips on each reflector. For the first reflector removal I'd lay on your back under the rear of the vehicle (once you do it once you can remove them without crawling under). Press in the clip that is closet to the middle of the car and push outward lightly. This will undue the inside clip, then for the middle clip you have to press down and push lightly. The third clip (the one towards the outside of the car) isn't so much a clip as it is more of a hook to hold the reflector in. When the inside and middle clips have been depressed you can just push on the reflector and it will pop out.

I just pulled mine out a couple days ago to tint them. Did a mock up by putting some clear tape on them and cut that to shape. Then sprayed VHT niteshade to tint them relatively dark. After I reinstalled them I decided it was a little odd looking on my MSport so I simply pulled the now tinted clear tape off and reinstalled the reflectors. I may decide to paint them the same color as the diffuser at a later date.

1. Which functions did you get? - Parking lights/brake lights double function (brightness difference) or parking/brake/turns?
2. Are the LEDS COB (diffused light beam over the full surface of reflector) or a single/double string of LEDs along the reflector?
Example of double string LED reflector:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3289...7295074&isdl=y

Yes, you will have to wire to the tail lights. If no turns' function, you could wire both LED reflectors in series to one side (left or right). If triple function with turns - then will have to wire to individual sides separately.

Post some pics before/after/in operation...

I know this is an ancient thread, but I tried removing mine tonight (w/M-Sport) and it seems they're snapped into a well molded into the bumper cover as in there's no access to the reflector itself from the back of the bumper cover (I contorted myself quite a bit to reach in there and have a bunch of nice new cuts and scrapes for it), and although I was able to wedge a trim tool under the middle was unable to get it to pop out so I could apply a blackout film.

So how the hell do these come out? There isn't any double-sided tape strong enough to yank these things out based on the fight they put up.

If you are talking about the FRONT bumper reflectors, then - yes, they are installed using a double sided acrylic tape (3M). In order to remove the reflectors without cracking them or breaking them off the substrate (orange reflecting lens is mounted on the grey or white backing plate) you should heat-up the area and the backs of them so that the tape becomes much more softer. Do not overheat the bumper itself - could cause damages to paint.

This is a non-M bumper/reflector shown, but the mounting process is the same:

Sorry, maybe I was not clear. I mean the REAR red M-Sport reflectors.

I replaced the amber fronts with gray ones. That was a pain in the ass removing the old adhesive which must be done else the new ones will not sit flush with the bumper cover.

Nobody seems to make gray replacements for the rears; I don't want to paint them for insurance reasons and I have a roll of transparent gray film to apply, but I need them OUT to do that!

Take a look at the image I've put together for you. It describes removal of the RIGHT side rear reflector:

I had the reflectors out for cleaning while replacing the stock rear diffuser with aftermarket M Performance diffuser. So you might have to take the diffuser out first in order to reach the tabs shown above. The diffuser is easy to remove as it is held in place with a couple screws and plastic pull-out rivets from the bottom and with series of tabs at the top split line.

Installation is in reverse order of the steps in the image.

Good luck.

Thank you!! I don't have a diffuser so this should be e.z. But I had friends ask me about the "burn" on my arm. "Nah, just lost some skin on a sharp thing..."

I just did mine on the weekend and wrapped in black vinyl, for the left side i was easilly able to get my hand behind and push out the clips, for the right hand side i removed the 2 screws of the rear diffuser to the far right, pulled off a couple of the diffuser clips on the right and it was enough to allow me to get my hand behind there and push the reflector clips
