OT: First prize in photo comp...

Sorry guys, but I just need to share...

I entered a competition in the building that I work in in Perth, first comp in probably 10 years (which, funnily enough, was the same comp and I won a placing). Anyway, here are the pics I entered:

Well, the judging was announced today and I got the big one. Overall winner, for the first pic:

This is Julia, my guide for 2 days in St Petersburg in Moscow in March, this year! Woohoo! Now I need to tell her!

The prize? $1,500 cash. That'll pay for my CF interior upgrade!

Thanks all. I liked the Singapore shot too, but alas... Not from the Singapore Eye, from my balcony in the Marina Bay Sands where I treated myself for 3 nights in Nov last year...

Re the cat, yes, Marcus is rather photogenic and has attitude, hence lots of good shots.

There were 4 categories, Central Park (which I didn't enter), People, Nature and Synthetic Atrificial.

Thanks Spikey, was on my bucket list, along with snowmobiling and a husky dog sled ride and, thanks to my employer and a super cool vendor, it materialized in March this year. Woohoo!
