Roof wrap

I want to wrap my 335i roof in black. Does anyone know how much should it cost? Also should the shark fin be wrapped in black or leave it as the same as the exterior colour?

Definitely wrap both the sharkfin (or better yet, buy a new gloss black one) and the roof rail strips

You got any pictures? Is it wrapped in carbon fibre or gloss black? Anybody here have pictures of a wrapped roof with exterior colour editorial blue?

Fake CF looks cheap and it's pretending to be something it's not on a part that would actually benefit in the real life performance of the car had it been real CF. I'd just do gloss black and own up to the aesthetic advantages. Fake CF interior wrap, on the other hand, isn't as egregious.

Tough to get a good photo right now between the sunset and pollen, but here you go. I went gloss black, not so much because cf would look fake, but rather because I felt like I'd have to match the rest of my accessories and gloss black would be easier. Also, I didn't have them wrap the roof molding because my guys told me it wouldn't come out clean and would eventually start peeling. I'm going to swap for black molding.

Yeah I like the gloss black roof wrap only

All of the OEM CF on outside of my car is the gloss clear type, not matte. Even the bestest fake CF gloss wrap doesn't look the same

Plus it has a texture to it instead of smooth surface. Seems everywhere I park my car the birds have a field day pooping on it - I can only envison cleaning bird shit out of the fake wrap weave with a toothbrush weekly

My guy didn't say it would be a problem wrapping the roof trims, but buying a set in gloss black is simply a step above buying a black sharkfin (which I definitely would do vs. wrapping it) since they have to take it off anyway to wrap properly

The gloss black looks great on light colored cars (esp. white) haven't decided whether to do my Mineral Gray or not - need to see some as example 1st...

I really don't know what other places price around for this. These are the guys I've always taken my Bimmers to for tinting and they did an amazing job with the wrap. Good luck with yours.

I'm just trying to understand the breakdown of the cost... $50 for materials and then 4 hours of labor at 100$??

the price is steep... i understand these are your people but i think you got jewed

Looks great. I also have smoked tail lights on my estoril blue. I hope the roof turns out nice!

I think it would look a lot cleaner with matched reflectors.

I've been debating this myself.. I've got a Mineral White car with CF spoiler, mirror caps, and rear diffuser. Would it look inconsistent if I did gloss back roof? The only gloss black I have is my grills.

In my area, a roof wrap can go for $300+/-. I had it done on my 320 and also my 340. You must do the shark fin and roof rails, it does make a difference.

Fake CF generally looks just cheap and tasteless. If it is the interior it also looks silly as CF has no business there (no high strength properties of the materials required).
Sorry, my 2 cents.

I chose not to wrap my trim either. My guys told me they would eventually work themselves lose and look like crap. Gloss black for me as well.
