NBT Evo uses a different Telematic Communication Box (ATM/TCB2) with OABR communication to the HU.
I guess you don't have it as you retrofitted your NBT Evo. Thus the mentioned features can't work. |

What i know is that hardware activation works no more, as bmw moved tge actuvation to its servers not on the unit itself. And i also heard some progress has been made on hacking this server. I was kind of hoping that someobody already had a sloution.
Not sure if FSC codes will work with a retrofitted KIT |

Yes there is probably the problem with BMW server, you have to be white listed there as I read.
But did you read my post above? I assume that you don´t even have the communication hardware which is essential... |

If you don't have stock NBT Evo, you can't have it!
You may have the normal TCB1, but this is not compatible with NBT Evo. NBT Evo uses ATM/TCB2 which is wired completely different (OABR Ethernet instead of USB cable). Even if you retrofitted TCB2, such a used module can't be activated for your car, you would need a new TCB2. |

They probably installed an ATM module from a donor vehicle.

It's possible, but as mentioned, it requires an ATM module be retrofitted. Also, you can not change the VIN on the ATM, and the VIN on the ATM MUST match the VIN on the EVO. So you need to flash the EVO to use the same VIN as the ATM, and use FSCs for that VIN on the EVO. So, because the car VIN will not match the EVO/ATM VIN, you will also need a CAN adapter.

It's possible, but I've never done it. Here is a thread that talks about it.

The sim swap can be done. - I just did it.!
Brief summary: 2014 F32, originally with “route” business nav and tcb. Retrofitted nbtevo, then used adaptor loom to connect new ATM, used BimmerUtility to code vin etc. Removed eSIM from old tcb then soldered it onto new atm. FULL functionality restored with MyBMW app, remote services etc.. |
