BMW is very nicely designed; even if the interior is much too narrow and a little cheap.

Mercedes looks to have a very upscale interior space and design; however the exterior is not something you could sell till 2020; so another heavy facelift is already programmed.
The boot lid is just horrible with that "smiley" form.
The nose of the car is boring and outdated; actually it's worth the smiling boot lid.

Well yeah, the S class Audi cars are positioned between the X35i and the m series cars.
an Audi S it's the same of an M-performance x35.

I love my bimmer and after seeing these pics have no regrets. There is no way modded that Merc or Audi for that matter will look as good as the F30. I do have a personal soft spot for MB but F30 wins this comparison for me on looks alone.

Front of the bm i still dont 100% like

Interior of the merc is boss

Interior of bm/audi less so

Exterior of audi wins.

Right now, ATS, S60R, S4, and maybe this seems to all be above the 3er.
S60r...ats? What? U r either a troll or never drove any of the cars including 3 series

I don't get how anyone thinks the C-class looks good

It's hideous imo, like basically every other Merc except the SL

The new c-class doesn't really have a composed design so it looks a bit like a squashed s-class. With the star on the hood you really can't tell a difference between the c and the s which is lame decision on their part and they really bested audi in their own game. Rear end looks really rushed. However the interior is the most luxurious in class and it's also nice that they've moved the shifter from the steering wheel to the mid column. So all in all I prefer f30 exterior but c-class interior is probably much nicer place to be in leather and woodwise

That Mercedes looks terrible! In my opinion, Mercedes has some of the worst designed cars in the world. I don't like their new design at all. The front is busy, not elegant at all and a wanna-be with kitschy elements. The back is just horible, itgives me nightmares. The interior is ugly in all terms for me, the round air ducts, that superglued screen, and their design just makes me throw up.

Merceds is not what used to be. Mercedes is just a wanna-be, incapable of pulling out something beautiful, elegant and atractive. They rust like shit and look like shit, inside and outside. Except the black edition, they have nothing that is worth buying regardless of whatever engineering hide under the bonet.

I will take an Audi over the Mercedes anytime. However, BMW managed to keep their lines together so I am happy about that. Audi interior is nice, however, it looks confusing for me, but I can live with it. Except the new Garmin screen, I like the BMW design. Mercedes ceased to interest me in any way for few years now, I dont even bother stoping and looking at it when I go to visit the car show. I think what keeps them floating is just their heritage and the name, their cars are incapable of sending a message...

BMW > Audi > Mercedes.

Even though it is the oldest i still like A4 better designwise than f30 and c class. Interior of the A4 is still lovely and just more in place and refined for me but if you think of driving characteristics definitely F30 is the winner there. I don't MB can catch that sort of sportiness that BMW has

LOVE the new C!

I'm in the market for a new DD next year and this is my top choice so far.

My shopping list in order:

C-Class
M235i
335i Msport
Macan S
CLA45 AMG

The new C makes the F30 look dated. F30 does look more sporty with edgy lines but the C Class looks very elegant and more complete. In all honesty, I think BMW screwed up the front of the F30. It has too much 'expression' if you will. I LOVE my 5er, which I think is the best looking BMW out right now, and BMW should've followed it closely with the 3er.

I'll be test driving each one of these cars once they are released next year. Can't wait for the next spring.

German Trio the hardest competition between these 3 brands is the most closed.

In my view Mercedes greatly improved in all aspects is younger, sporty more dynamic, and first in its category used Airmatic DC air suspension and it's chassis is highly developed negative point maybe the price.

The BMW is a very balanced car in all aspects, has much optional facilities together with an advanced chassis.

The case of the Audi is also a very competitive car, many more color options than the other two, it's chassis is good, not as sophisticated as its competition, but its design and years are noted, and he needs and change y not has rear wheel drive.

My 2 cents.

Exterior:
- The F30 is the sportier design of the three. No contest there, imo. It's not exactly the easiest on the eye sometimes but in these pics it really shines and the sporty character comes out aplenty.
- New C-Class looks upscale but not sporty, it doesn't look like a "sport sedan", more like a small-scale limo instead (baby S-Class as everyone says).
- The A4 even less so, it looks just like a family sedan. I blame this 3rd window at the C-pillar for that. As long as Audi keeps the 3rd window it will never look sporty enough, imo. And of course its age. It looks solid but not too sporty neither too luxurious. Has a very family sedan character, imo.

Interior:
- The C-Class is the clear winner.
- I've never bought the F30 interior, especially the way the dash swoops downwards over the trim in front of the passenger side, it looks cheap and like an afterthought. Same with the horrible plastic divide between the driver and passenger side. It is executed to perfection in the 6-Series but here it looks cheap and again like an afterthought. The plastics in general don't look that expensive.
- The Audi has nice quality interior but looks dated as expected.

The 3 series does not look like a luxury sedan in anyway, but mercedes does.

I personally would not step my foot in a 3 series if it werent for the V8 and the DCT, so my reasons for driving one is different. I drove the new one and yes it's refined somewhat but its the same low quality material they used, same seats, same plastic, same idrive control, same software.
I'm with Earl. BMW still carries on the SAME LINES from the 90s. Time to move on.

but i think I like the 3er interior the best for being driver-centric orientation design.

My take on the appearance:
Front: BMW
Sides: Audi
Rear: MB, but really a toss up
Interior: MB, I like everything except those air vents; Audi looks "dated" to me.

None are so bad or so good that I wouldn't cross shop them.

The S6 seems to be doing a better job than the S4 at least in the US.

BMW is guilty of this too but I just don't get the stuck on Nav/Command screen that MB is now employing. It looks too much like they designed the interior without a Nav screen in mind and then at the last second decided they need it and just plopped it there and called it a day...

Looks awful, out-of-place and lazy

As long as the new motors are stout and the car isn't a porker I may actually buy a C class... and just saying that made me throw up a little bit in my mouth.
