Only 2 months ago and P/S fail

Just drove on my first 'long' trip from LA to Legoland in Oceanside (180 miles round trip) and back. No problem.

Went to work this morning. 'Steering' alert fired off and my power steering isn't present as my steering just became stiff.

3,104 miles on my car thus far.

Anyone else have power steering fail?

A lot of people complain about EPS having poor road feel. They're right it is poor. So yow is the road feel with no power steering at all? Is it possible to drive a car without power steering or it's just too stiff?

I really hope you'll get you car fixed soon.

Do you have the Variable Sport Steering or just the regular steering?

I had this problem a few days ago. Luckily after a reboot power steering came back, but the warning remained on the dash, couldn't change driving modes, no cruise control. Dealer is fixing it at the moment.

This happened to me about 2 weeks after I got my car. The warning light came on and the wheel stiffened up. I turned the car off and back on and it was still there. Turned it off and on one more time and the warning was gone and it was back to normal. When it happened I probably had less than 200 miles on the car. It hasn't happened since. I have about 2,100 miles on it now.

I'm thinking there is some sort of glitch in the steering system that causes it to fail randomly...

No offense but that is a silly guess. Of course there is a "glitch" and I'm 100% sure it's not random. It needs to be brought to the dealer ASAP.
