A greeting
Still no. Locked by software. Good luck in search.

Anything is possible. IDrive5/6 has option to toggle. Though, only works on G-series.

On a 2014 that has not been updated to or beyond 3.61 (March '17 software)?

Good news, no doubt, to see if it spreads.

The only thing is that I hope that there is no need to update the software of the car to get it ...

Still in the most modern cars?

Before updating the Soft. of the car, I could do both with Carly and with E-sys, now I have not found the way.

You are using that PSdZ or your vehicle has that version? Bimmercode shows you software version?

Sorry, the picture didn't upload to my reply. I updated my car's software recently before using BimmerCode.

You are lucky that it worked, because that is a first.

Could you specify the level of integration that your car has? to know if in mine I could also get the 5 flash flashing with BimmerCode.

Have you found any way to activate it, thanks to the G Series?

But this is clearly a BMW 4 cabrio F33 on the picture. Or does it just have no effect on that car?

Worst case scenario, assuming you follow coding guidelines, is it does not work and you code functions back.

I am joining the club of people looking for a solution to increase the number of blinks to 5 on an F36 LCI... There must be a way.

So the reason why we currently cannot set this anymore is because BMW disabled the BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP coding parameter and replaced it with PIA_DEFAULT_TIPPBLINKEN in the newer firmware. Unfortunately PIA_DEFAULT_TIPPBLINKEN on FEM_Body has a bitmask which only allows 0 or 1 as an valid value, on BDC_Body vehicles the bitmask allows more values that is why it is working there.

I was thinking that it should be possible to change the bitmask in the firmware itself with a hex editor, flash the modified firmware to the car and afterwards set a value greater then 1, this at least should theoretically work.
My question is if someone already tried to hex edit an ECU firmware? Finding the right spot should not be an issue but maybe the firmware files are signed?

Perhaps TIPPBLINKEN is a default override to activate/deactivate the other parameter? Has anybody tried flicking TIPPBLINKEN to them see if the other works?

On the other hand I could be talking rubbish 😂

This is exactly what I thought when I saw it but I did not try it.
Anyone?

Yes, I have tried different combinations in "BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP" and also in "PIA_DEFAULT_TIPPBLINKEN" without any success.

If a partner based on trying gets something, it would be great ...
