So the PDC beeps & warnings gongs have stopped.
The rear view camera still works & the visual distance display still works, just the audible beeps have stopped.
I’m thinking the speaker is faulty, but where is it in the F31 Touring?

I think it comes through the stereo speakers. On my car, the sound comes out of the speaker nearest the sensor that’s detected an object.

Ah ok.
So can it be somehow switched off via coding?
I had some coding done a few weeks ago am wondering if it was switched off accidentally.
I checked the volume settings on the idrive & they are set to halfway.

Does it say anything on the i-drive regarding - "No warning tones" or similar.

If it does then it maybe the amp that is knackered , mine was and it took out the center dash speaker in spectacular smoking style.

How can I check if this has been turned off?

Jon, just a thought, the next time you select reverse or park, try turning the volume up as I know my car has different volume outputs for navigation etc. I know that I have accidentally turned the navigation volume down when turning the music down.

Nice suggestion. Just checked & the volume is turned up but still no audible beeps.

So a quick update.
Was messing around with Bimmercode & changed a few bits of coding.
Just minor things really.
Anyway, finished up coding & reversed the car off the drive. PDC starting beeping again!

Dunno what was wrong in the first place or what exactly I did to rectify it!
