I had Glacier Silver on my first F30 and now I have Alpine White (Mineral White is my favorite of the whites though).

Silver has always been my favorite color on a car, followed by any kind of pearl or metallic White.

black sapphire is my favorite. I like the mineral gray as well. For my money nothing touches a black BMW sedan with tinted windows in terms of look. Just looks timeless, classy, sleek, cool, etc. I could never go with a blue car. Looks too much like a toy to me. Red just screams midlife crisis or Thelma and Louise girls just wanna have fun vibe, to me. This probably sounds ridiculous but if I got a free BMW that was painted blue or red, I would sell it and buy a black one.

In order for me: Black sapphire, jet black, silver, gray, white... Thats about it.

The thread is a discussion on F30 Colors

Those answering black...you realize black is, by definition, the absence of color, right?

Just shows you how subjective car colors are. I am the complete opposite - black is one color I won't own. If I was given a black BMW I would sell it for a red or blue (maybe white) one! Black seems really plain/boring and makes me think of a limo

Going by the stats from the BMW CPO website I am in definitely in the minority with this opinion!

jet black 668. great when it's clean, terrible when it's not.

If I had to rank them:

1. Alpine White - It just shows the lines of the car realllly well.
2. Monaco Blue - Looked stunning when clean and in certain lighting.
3. Sophisto Gray - Looked pretty classy on the F10 boat. Its so dark most people thought it was black. Especially at night.
I had an E46 330ci 'vert in Monaco Blue. I liked that it looked crazy dark (almost black) in the shade, and the blue came out in the sun.

Currently Melbourne Red, which I like, but I'm thinking about wrapping it in matte black metallic or possibly a satin green, if I can find one that I like.

By definition, yes. Black is the absence of color....in the context of light/primary colors.

When one is producing a color, black is not the absence of other colors...just another shade.

Melbourne Red Metallic for me. Makes the car stick out for sure, but cops aren't an exception to that
