[MotorTrend] 435i review and HD footage (Carlos Lago)
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Carlos Lago, one of my favorite reviewers behind Chris Harris. As for the car, the front looks so bad in this trim. I don't know why they had to make it so ugly. |

I think it's one of the best combos. Same combo looks better with M Sport though.

Good review and like most new BMWs the looks will grow on me after a while, especially in non-M sport trim. I remember the same feeling when the F20 was launched and after having a sport line trim with an 8-speed sport auto for almost 2 years, it's definitely won me over on looks but more so on drivability.
I do really like the F32 and can't wait to take delivery of mine in November.

I really liked it when he said/suggested the interior should be different than the 3 series.
BMW does this to save money on cost but it went that far by giving it a new name; why not the interior. My friends dad has a 740Li x-drive, a lot of the parts are the same/similiar when his compare to my 535xi M sport.... shame on

Carlos Lago's reviews are usually good but this one isn't one of them. It is short and while he throws in some details, I did not get a much understanding of the car from his review. Perhaps there is not much to say about the car (for better or worse)?
Btw, did you notice the car and track seem to be the same as in Chris Haris's review... also, why is he saying "this is definitely not the car you would take to a track, but..."???? Last edited by georgere; 08-12-2013 at 12:26 PM.. |

Love all of Carlos Lago reviews. One of the best journalist, second to Chris Harris.

He made a little gaffe. Unless BMW has made a change to Sport and Sport +, which I'm certain they have not, there is no difference in the steering and chassis response between the two. The only difference is Sport + engages Dynamic Traction Control and disables full-on traction control. |

It is a single turbo, "Twin Power" is marketing nonsense referring to the fact that they're using a twin-scroll turbo with two inlets, but there's still only one turbo. The N54 had two separate turbos, I've owned both and both motors have very similar power delivery so I don't know why BMW insists on confusing its customers.

I thought you can't be in sport+ AND turn off traction control - maybe thats why he thought he had pretty good grip otherwise he would be going sideways like Chris Harris Monkey.
