New F30 328i will arrive in days - and I'm not allowed to drive!
Ive been in hospital for the last 2 weeks (golf ball sized abscess on my clavical/sternum join), and have just got out. My doctors say im not allowed to drive for another two weeks.
When i was allowed home i contacted my dealer - my F30 328i is on the boat and is due to arrive in less then a week So bottom line, after waiting 4 months my car will arrive in about a week and I wont be allowed to drive it for another week after that - seems like cruel and unusual punishment to me. |

If the boat arrives in a week you might be ok, it usually takes a week or two for it to clear customs and be prepped. Add another day or so for tinting etc. Get well soon mate. Which dealer are you taking delivery from, B/W or Motorline? |

Ouch, feel sorry for you - not easy having a new toy you can't play with!
What you need is a distraction, something to keep your mind off it... so whatever you do, don't start reading posts on here about what a great car it is! Incidentally, not sure if the rules are the same in Oz but in the UK if you're on doctor's orders not to drive and you go out and something happens, then your insurers might void your policy or reduce the settlement of any claim if they find out Oh... and get well soon!

Oh man that sucks! Hang in there, health is first and foremost remember. The car will be ready and raring to go when you are given the green light! (Terrible pun, I know!)

The anticipation will make it all better when you finally get to drive it. Hopefully it won't be too long between it being at the dealer and when you can drive it. Did you tell your doctor and did he mention he would be happy to drive you home? Anyway if you dont have your health you don't have much. Get Well.

Cam,
Sux to hear you can't drive it yet after such a long wait.... BUT If you need a hand finding someone to drive it for you whilst you can't... I'd be happy to volunteer |

Sorry to hear that, guy. Heal up quickly!
In the mean time, have somebody drive it home for you, wash the bejeezus out of it, and take TONS of pics to post here on the forum. That week will go by in no time. |
