Full oil capacity of n20

Hi everyone. As you might know I had done an engine out job recently (replaced timing chain, oil pump and oil pump chain). Naturally the oil was fully drained from the engine. The question is, how much oil should go into the engine in such case. I know that the replacement capacity is 5l, but what is the full capacity of the engine? my mechanic tells me that it is 6l but I only put 5l and the oil level measure went to max.

According to my manual it's 5ltrs. I'm using Motul 8100 X-cess which is SAE 5W40. It's also official BMW LL-01, but better for engines that are modded.

I've heard other people say that because the crank isn't at the sump level more oil can be put in. I also would be interested to know how much more.
