Maxchip Tune

Anyone use or heard of Maxchip? I was thinking about stopping by their Frankfurt store and getting it instead of a BMS stage 1.

Hmm, they seem to care more about water ingress in their unit than protecting engines.
Please note in line 01 "The Maxchip Chip-tuning box System changes up to two parameters.)"
I wouldn't do it.

No, they reuse the free water in the fluxgenerator

Not yet. I ended up getting the "Pro" version, but I got it mailed to my home. They ended up sending me the wrong harness, the one for the N54 instead of the N55. I email them today and they are going to overnight me the correct one and should be receiving it tomorrow. I will let you know...

I installed it! It was a breeze plugging into the TMAP and MAF (I believe that what they are called). At first it didn't really feel any different. I made some runs in the autobahn and changed the setting from 0 to 4. It definitely felt a difference while driving in comfort mode. The throttle response and pull was more like running on sports mode. I drove about 50 miles fairly hard...definitely sucked more gas while doing it. It drives with more zipp...I will update after the weekend drive!

OK
is necessary a little period of adaptation.

The best approach in order to test this product is made a 0-200km/h in sport mode

Stock results are around 17sec

A good new value for me is around 15 sec.

Remember to do the test in WOT (full throttle)
Only in WOT you reach the new max turbo boost

I would be trilled if you could log some boost and AFR values with the Torque app or something similar.

Below is made with Torque app + a bluetooth OBDII dongle

Oh no...I didn't buy a JB4...bought a maxchip pro from a German manufacterer. I don't have any gear to measure the boost or other parameters. After a week of driving, the response is a lot quicker during comfort mode. It's almost like you are driving in sports mode. In sports mode, definitely feels like it pulls a lot faster through the gears, but I haven't had a chance to really measure/time any runs. My gas consumption has gone from 24.5 mpg to 21, but I have been driving a lot more FOT.

I have been driving it fairly hard since I ended the breaking period. The throttle response is very fast, compared to stock. I have been driving on Normal mode, which feels like the stock sports mode. About every couple days I'll throw it into sports mode, but it feels like overkill, gurgles a lot, and seems to decrease my gas consumption too. Eco is still lagging, but I never use it.
Overall, the car zips faster with the Maxchip than without. I took it out for a couple days and it was like driving a brick. For the price that I paid (209 € I think), it's totally worth it. I have no other experience with JB4 or Cobb, so I can't compare to anything else, except for the stock 335 engine and how it felt without the chip. Hope this helps!

Tnx

I have installed the JB1
Same connections (map and TMAP)

The car gains 2 seconds on 0-180kmh. Is very fast !!

There are only one tuner code in the ecu (The electronic popoff and the debimeter detect the most pressure....)

This error is stored in various ecu.....
