3 series GT - desires and reality
Here are two magazine renders, of how I wanted the new 3 series Gran Turismo Gt to look like.
The desires were high; practicality of a 5 door, higher sitting position, lots of inner space and premium interior in a car shorter than 5 series. |

They're both ghastly.

The 5GT and all other "GT's" are total abortions. One of the biggest production mistakes BMW has made ever.

I don't have any desire for a 3 hatchback. I don't see the market at all, the touring will always be a better fit for everybody who needs some more room and flexibility. The 3GT is another project where the money is thrown away, filling in a fictituous market segment that only exists in the weird minds of some moronic BMW product managers. I expected that the 5GT debacle was already proving this sufficiently...
It doesn't really surprise the design is matched with the level of the decision to do this car, just plain retarded. |
