Front lip and side skirt extension install

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if it would be possible to install a front lip/splitter and side skirt extensions without using a floor jack? I was thinking of using race ramps (or building some wood ramps). Is this a possibility, or is a jack and stands necessary?

Thanks in advance

I put my front lip on without using a jack or ramps. While getting at some of the fasteners was a pain, i got it done. I think it really depends on how low you are with those coilovers. Im stock xdrive height.

Definetly need a jack. After I lowered mine there was no way that front lip would get secured without being up in the air.

Just installed the 3D CF front spoiler lip on my 15 F32 435ix this week. Was ez to do using front tires up on Rhino Ramps. Might have been able to do it without the ramps but it would have been difficult

Also did the OEM side skirt splitter blades. You will have to have car up in air for that. Impossible to do correctly and be able to drill the 15 holes needed with car in ground.

At the very least you would need a floor jack to be able to get car on jack stands. I actually drove front tire up on ramp, jacked up rear of same side and slid the other ramp under the rear tire. That way one entire side was up high enough and nothing was in the way of drilling install

If up on ramps while instaling the front splitter, will you be able to get the back down w/o scraping it? I used ramps to do my rear diffuser. Now with the splitter on and how low it sits, I don't think I use the ramps at all anymore.
