Hi Shawn,

Can you please send me the updated data for coding?
I suspect that I might have the new FW with trimmed CAFD files, having been to the dealer recently (they did have to code new stuff).

Thanks again,
Vlad

Up and running now! I'm an absolute beginner at this and terrified of breaking everything! Has anyone done a step by step for video in motion (so the kids can watch Dora!). Although it would need explaining in fairly simple terms!

Thanks for the pm Shawn,

I've had a read & ready to have a try, but reading through some of the PDF's I can't see the option for what I want to change

Front fog lights, I've changed to LED's so I need to take out the bulb checks & let the system know there LED's (also maybe turn on the direction illumination)

As above but for front sidelight & DRL LED's (halogen setup)

Maybe the tyre peressure/temp

Any other cool stuff?

Any help would be great

BMW made changes to PSdZData beginning with 54.2 and expanded upon them in 54.3, and expanded upon further in 55.x where they removed (aka Trimmed) descriptive text from CAFD (and FAFP) files, making FDL Coding of many ECU's impossible using regular PSdZData files.

Solution for now is to use "repaired" 55.1 PSdZData. Future solution (currently in TokenMaster's oven) will be original Trimmed PSdZData used with new version of E-Sys Launcher Premium with Dynamic Descriptive Text mapping.

Understand though that these solutions assume that new Trimmed CAFD structure is same as old Untrimmed CAFD structure, and any solution based on previous CAFD Data assumes BMW has not made any changes to CAFD structure in new version, nor does it account for any new functions added for which there is no historical reference.

This has not proved to be an issue thus far, but inevitably will be over time as newer and newer PSdZData is released. The only true solution is for the PSdZData fairy to deliver BMW AG's master Untrimmed PSdZData versions; however, the odds of that happening are not good.
