1. Front differential replaced under warranty at ~48k km due to humming between 95-110km/h. 2. Passenger door inside handle does not always actuate the door lock/release. *Potential safety issue* - being investigated. 3. Passenger rear window has stopped working twice, computer reset by dealership resolved issue both times (self battery reset didn't resolve). 4. Battery failed at ~62k km. |

2012 328i F30 Sedan 140,000 miles
- Rear passenger window actuator malfunctioned at 50k
- Drive Train Malfunction (low boost pressure) at 135k according to two separate shops turbo had to be replaced and not just the wastegate. Went with indy shop and was charged $2800 to replace oem turbo (mitsubishi) and coolant lines. side note: I asked about the lifetime transmission fluid and was told not to replace trans fluid if already past 100k. |

BMW and their plastic pieces. A mechanic acquaintance states that he recommends replacement of valve covers when the gasket leaks because he has found that leaks are sometimes caused by warped covers. Plastic charge pipes regularly fail. Now transmission pans? BMW needs to rethink the materials that they use.

Everything is plastic these days! All for the sake or cost savings/weight reduction, I presume. |

Speaking of "plastic parts". Pressure converter/boost solenoid went out again this week after I replaced it 3 years ago. It is just too hot on that side of the engine. I know why now,BMW went with electronic wastegate on newer models.

3 years ago I didn't have any scanning tool. A member on here (Harkes) showed me how to fix. I had a hunch that I will have to replace this part again in the future, but didn't know when it will fail. Yup- ~3 years. While I wait for the part, I might just hook up ISTA and see what I can pull up. Symptom is sluggishness / unresponsive from stop, you'll have to give it more gas to go. It gets worst the longer you wait to replace. |

2014 320xi 86k miles purchased new
I have done all recommended services on top of the free maintenance offered by bmw. Approximately 81k I had to replace the thermostat. No other issues since owning this car so far. This is my daily driver and get abused on the highway. I am dreading doing the waterpump next when the time comes. |

I'll probably look into a set of Koni adjustables or Bilstein HD's when the time comes. We have two small kids, so full coilovers are a bit too rough for a daily baby mobile.

Previous threads said swapping out F30 non-sport anti-roll bars requires sub-frame drops, so it is not easy DIY, or $$$ indy labor.

Did them in my garage, can confirm both front and rear subframes need to be lowered. Take my advice and pay someone, I won’t be doing that job twice.
