Think some of the guys in the US forum have done this, judging by the pics. They may have the details of what's possible.

I'm sure PF64 doesn't mean the 'slammed' MAXPOWER look
Yes even adaptive can be lowered, and no doubt there will be lowering springs available for the F30 soon enough (if not already). |

To be a bit more serious...
I want to lower my car because I think it is way to high stock. But I don't want it as low as the two above with the HRE wheels because it wouldn't be possible to drive it here in Sweden with all the speed bumps. I got a set of coilovers and will most likely set them up to be similar to the H&R Sport springs that look really good. |

Your warranty will be null and void. Why fiddle if it ain't broke and when it is so very good? Lowered cars look riduculous on everyday/normal roads. With all our speedbumps etc you'll bugger up the bodywork by scraping it many a time. Not worth the expense, agro or the ruination of the ride/handling balance.

I had my first E60 sport lowered but only by 15 to 20mm.
Although I had it lowered for looks the improvement in the ride with 19's was a bonus. It felt far more compliant. I am thinking that a slight drop of about 15mm will look quite good but wouldn't look to different from stock.

I will need to ask some questions if it affects the ride with adaptive as it is so good at the moment I don't want to do anything that will have a negative affect.

Now, if you fiddle around with the springs and dampers, it seems obvious to me that this will have more of a negative effect on the ride comfort than when just a small change in wheel diameter can have a slight but noticeable effect. Some may prefer the 'planted' feel of the 19" wheels, but I feel that in 'comfort' with 18" wheels, the ride is as stiff as I can accept on our pocksy roads. ETTO.

M Sport Suspension and Adaptive M Sport Suspension are 10 mm lower than Standard Suspension. Any lower and you'll possibly be scraping the car's nether regions on speed humps and bumps! Don't be vertically challenged any further.

Glad it's not me, with the "Speed humps" here it will not last long.

What kind of speed bumps do you guys have, really!?!
I know it's no F30, but my e90 is lowered so there's no gap between the tyre and fender, and I can drive over the speed bumps we have here in going 30kmh/20mph, without scraping the front or under the car.
