Dinan springs+splitter and snow
Hey there,
I ordered Dinan springs/shockwave from BMW and looking to purchase the front/rear splitter. The only quandary I have is it makes the front of the car sit fairly low from the ground, which is great for summer but it might be a pain in the ass for winter since the snow can be trapped in front of the bumper. Any experiences with this? how far off the ground is the splitter(with springs installed)? Tom

Mine is about 5" off the ground.

Same here. Probably will remove the front lip for winter

I have an M-Sport and the front splitter. This is not a snow car, I keep to plowed roads or take the wife's X5.

This is true.
My local dealer where I bought my car is a Dinan retailer, but now I'm stuck paying the dealer's labour rates. On top of that, they bill exactly as advised by Dinan; meaning that they quoted 9.5 hours or whatever Dinan recommends for the spring install. |

It's a 3 hr job but I can't find a decent installer willing to do it for that rate. With alignment included, best price I've found is around $600.

This is a concern of mine as well. I'll be running Bilstein B8 with H&R Sports and front splitter. If we get anything remotely close to what we got last year in NYC in terms of snow fall, curious how things will hold up. Especially after the snow freezes over and forms another "curb" since snow plows plow to the right.
