Good clean work, I'm a fan.
Did you do your exhaust modifications all together at one time? I've been curious how a resonator delete would sound on otherwise stock N20 exhaust. |

I had done the DP, removed packing and resonator delete in that order. I did it in this order to be able to achieve the perfect (to me) sound level. |

Very nice ride! Definitely going with many of those mods. Prob going to go with another tune instead of jb4. Also not sure about the catless downpipe. Does it give you a worthwhile performance increase. I guess it allows a more aggressive map with jb4?

I had done the JB4 and DP at the same time. My thinking was that I wanted to be able to utilize the full potential of the JB4 and that included starting with the catless DP and e85 capability. At this point I may be the only one still willing to support the JB4. Everyone seems to be blaming this for all the motor failures |

I've decided to change the look a little. I have sold my wheels for some Niche Verona's and Toyo T1 Sports. Wheels are scheduled for delivery this Wednesday so I should have them installed next weekend
I'm reserved about the concavity. Coming from wheels with a large lip I am hoping for the best. Wheels come with the following specs; 19x8.5 et35 19x9.5 et35 I plan on running my 5mm spacers upfront and probably stepping up to 10mm very soon. Tires are; 235/35 - same as my previous 275/30 - previous were 265 I was originally going with Potenza RE760 Sports but decided to stick with the Toyo as I had previously had the Toyo T1R's. Plus these are about 5lbs. light than the Potenza's. |

I was in the same fan club before I seen my F30! I had owned 1 other red card 10 years ago and I told myself I would never own another red car It was the interior / exterior contrast that had me sold on it, pure sexiness! |

Couple pics with the stock 416 wheels. I think it looks pretty good. I've never had the stock wheels on since it has been lowered. I have my 5mm spacers on. I don't recommend them for the front. Even at 5mm it pushes the wheel far enough away that it doesn't make contact with the hub. You can see the IC real good in the one pic

What kind of an intercooler is that? great stance btw, new rims should make it pop.
Does it rub?

The IC is the ER unit.
No rubbing with the stock wheels/tires. It is nice driving on a meatier tire from what I had been driving on. Difference is very noticeable. |

Received my wheels today, a day early Installation will be taking place Saturday To edit my response above about the stock setup rubbing, it does in fact rub when the suspensions geometry is at a sweet spot. Most of the time when the cars is on a compound angle with the wheels turned at a certain spot. Also notice they rub when driving over big dips on the highway. I don't drive highway daily anymore so am not too concerned with it. So far I am happy with the concavity of the wheels. More would have been better but I think I can settle. I had my wheels and tires installed.
Overall it ended BAD Stepping up to 275/30 from the previous 265/30 really screwed me. The combo of the overall diameter and the slightly wider tire really got the best of me. I understood the new dimensions going in and figured they would fit perfect. The fender was almost sitting on top of the tire. I stiffened my suspension all the way up before pulling off the tire lot and thought that would be enough. My alignment is set on the conservative side. Only 1/2 mile down the road and this is the result. No rubbing noise what so ever. I think the extra weight of me (180lbs) is what caused the tires to rub, that's how close the tire was. I was smelling rubber burning and looked in my side mirrors and seen smoke coming from the wheel wells. I believe the slight contact with the tires is what cause so much heat. So much that it discolored the paint and allowed it to de-laminate from the fender Sitting on the side of the road waiting to be rescued. I'll be going Monday to get my alignment redone, probably with a little negative camber. I also had to raise it up 1" from before. The tires will no longer be tucked and with the fenders hoovering right over top. Pic is before is was raised and shows the worst side. The other side had about 1/3 the damage. I'll get more pics on Monday. I really like the new look (without the scorched paint). . . . |

Congrats on the new look of the car!
I hope everything works out OK on Monday. If you have raised the suspension 1" you should be fine. Did you decide on all the wheels and tires sizes yourself or did your local wheel shop get involved? I once had a bad experience with a set of 18" track wheels (with a custom paint job) that did not clear the rear brakes+suspension arms and the shop -that had recommended the wheel size- took them back and replaced with 19" wheels at no cost. Hopefully a new suspension setting should solve your issue.

So 275/30 on 9.5ET35 is a no go? Or is it cause you are slammed?

275 will fit. The issue was cause from the larger tire. I mocked up the rear with my old wheels with 10mm of spacing. This represented the new et of 35. These were on a 265 tire, same brand. I looked at Toyo specs and oddly enough they had the same overall inflated width for both the 265 and 275 fitted to a 9.5" wheel. Now that the car is up 1" there is plenty of clearance. Here is a sneak pic. Will get pics tomorrow after the alignment. |

Here are some quick pics I took with my phone. Will get some nice pics up this weekend after I wash her.
I'm loving the fitment I'm using 5mm spacers up front and nothing in the rear. I mocked up 10mm in the front and 5mm in the rear but it starts to poke. I had my rear camber dialed in at -2. This is .4 from BMW maximum spec. My fronts are at -.5 which is just about plum. I really like the combo I am getting an estimate tomorrow. Not looking good though |
