Garage with a legit paint shop??
anyone in the NY/NJ area know a reputable garage with their own paint shop? Last time i got my side skirts painted in brooklyn, the shade of MelbourneRed they used was not as spot on as i wouldve liked. In the light, you could clearly see it was a different shade of red. I am getting a CSL trunk so if the paint is off even a little bit, it would stand out significantly.
Apparently when you select any BMW color on the computer, theres like 4 or 5 different types for some reason. The garage i went to had to improvise and do their own paint matching.. Thanks yall. |

They do all the work for Park Ave. BMW, so they tend to be very busy. Expect a few days on top of the ETA. |

apparently red is a hard color to match, I know a shop that runs paint specials every now and then but red is always the only color excluded.

Prestige Collision just opened a 60k square foot shop. I was told by the manager they run your vin, and they will know what type of paint was used on production day of your vehicle. They only use OEM parts I was told. I'm probably going to have my hood replaced due to chips, and dents caused by the contraction of the metal. The manager said for me to wait for the weather to warm up. Maybe the dents/squiggly lines will go away. The shop looks mint. Maybe give them a call. There located in Paramus N.J. Maybe 20 minutes from the GWB. Good luck OP.
