Aviva quoted 1355. Still silly considering clean licence no claims. Live in guiseley which isnt a bad area.

Its even more if i remove the mrs.
Ouch! I'm in LS28 and pay £450 with Aviva. I do get a discount through the Aviva portal because my work pension plan is with them but I guess being 53 has some advantages.

That's still crazy expensive, but better than when you started at least. My M4 is actually cheaper to insure than my 335d was! Go figure? The bloody insurance lottery - Where no one wins except the house!

I live in crappy, undesirable Leeds and my 335d costs £675 FC £300 excess, I'm 29.

I have 3 points and a £1000 claim. It was £900 to start with when I was 28 and the gf was on policy, she also has 3 points

Who did you insure your car with? I paid £866 last year, now there's a non-fault claim on my file (some berk reversed into the back of my car, won't accept liability and his insurance (Hastings) aren't playing ball either) but I've submitted CCTV footage and time stamped images of him going into the back of my 335d, my insurance company (Admiral) are classing it as a 'claim fault' until it's been dealt with.

Anyway, they've sent me a renewal fee...of....

£2,156!!

Must admit I was surprised when I changed from the M140 to the 335d. 335d is 2 groups higher, surprises me given the performance of the m140 and the theftability!

They tried to add 200 quid difference to the premium on renewal but stood my ground and got a discount of 169 quid so it was only 40 quid more.

Been shopping around for some quotations - turns out, nearly all the insurance companies are declining my business. Really stumped at the minute.

Suggestions anyone? Oh, BTW, Adrian Flux quoted me £2,400 with £3,000 excess! I wonder when this claim will pass by, so it can give a truer picture and something more reasonable.

Aviva, Esure, LV? .. run the comparison site quotes too if you haven't already. That's one hell of a price increase!

LV, Direct Line, Esure, Swift Cover - all declined. I'm 29 y/o with 4 years NCD, circa 5000 miles a year living in Yorkshire - not sure how much that'll influence the insurance premium, but it's an awful lot.

Oh and if I remove my father from the policy (very very rarely uses the car, but insured just for the odd occasion he does use it) it lowers the price to £1,300.

What a modern day travesty. It makes you think - even though we should report accidents etc, is it really worth it? Does honesty really pay? I guess not.

Admiral say that they will reimburse me any monies after the claim has been settled, but I have a friend in the Insurance business and he knows that Hastings can be utter when it comes to dealing with claims. So I have no idea how long this will take. My insurance is up for renewal next month, so I hope they accept liability by then!

We shall see.

What am i missing here
Anyone else found something similar?
Can you share your insurance companies with so so i can see what they'd quote me?

Thanks
I pay 1200 in an extremely high risk area in London (Westminster) and park on the road! With my wife on the policy and she has only been driving 2 years.

I am in the 35-40 bracket with 10+ years NCB as well.

May be as risk data emerges over time the insurance companies have decided to up the cost. Unless you have a gmail address!

Aviva oddly came out the cheapest for me. Two years in a row.
