Weird F30 dashboard theft!

I got these pics from a colleague who had their 3 series company car broken in to and pretty much their entire dashboard stolen!

Apparently there's been a spate of these in the area.

Oh it's Xmas again ..

You know this used to happen to TOM TOM and DVD players from Halfords but this is some next level theft .

worse part is they cut the main wire harness so going to need full wire loom

they haven't scratched anything so must have had time in their hands

Round here? The whole fronts of cars are being removed. Especially poxhaul corsa.

Wtf? I get not leaving valuables on display but how do you stop someone breaking into your car to rob the factory equipment???

Unfortunately those parts can't be tracked. Repair this main quadlock connector is a real pain and not cheap if need to be done properly.

This is a common crime in Italy - recently a work colleague living in Milan had his BMW F31 completely stripped of dashboard components.

I remember in the mid 80s sitting in a restaurant in Cagliari and we all were surprised to see people walking in with their car radios in hand. Seemed a very strange thing to do.

Within a couple of years we were all doing it in UK as the stealing of ICE had arrived in UK.

I remember the original pull out systems and then it moved on to the removable faces that you could put into a box similar to those that you put your glasses in. Was my first and last Alpine stereo!

Now I'm remembering he says of CD's that skipped when you went over a surface that wasn't completely flat....thank god we've moved on since then!

Audi A3 and A4 were a favorite for this type of theft, they would steal the satnav head units loads for sale on ebay most stolen.
