Look forward to see what you guys do, but the stock wheels look way better than the crap you test fitted. If you must put different wheels on it, at least go 19s.

you have to look at it straight on in order to clearly see the "eye brows" of the F30 lit up.
looking from above down is not really possible....

Produces a little more power then a 2.0T GTI but way better looking plus its RWD.

Cool photo.

I think it might've been better if the lit eyebrow continued over the whole inner ring.

How much power does the 2.0T GTI shows at the dyno?

WHOA ... as Keanu Reeves would say ...

That is getting close to 335i territory ... the little four banger is clearly underrated. There is a big WHY on the horizon for considering a 335i since it had a lame first showing in regards to performance on Car & Driver

When you look at performance and fuel efficiency plus better dynamics of the 328i (much lighter in the front) and the significantly reduced costs it is becoming the more compelling case of the two F30 3 series models for the US market.

Wow I'm suprised the F30 is already on the roads. Nice ride
Pretty good dyno numbers, once again BMW underrates their power.

A 2.0 GTI is going to be at least 50 hp BELOW these numbers at the wheel

Reminds me of when another BMW was introduced a few years ago.

Could you please reflect on the idle vibration made by the N20? i heard that it's as bad as the Audi A4 2.0T. also please tell us how the engine feels when the car is starting to move from a stand still at moderate speed, is the vibration extremely noticeable when compared to the I6 on E90 328i?

JerseyDon,

i dont want to start a war either, but it would have been a better read if you could have given more room in your text/post...

very hard to ready with no comma, when there is no transition from sentences to another..

...

Anyways, when compared to the official number of the F30 328i,

245 horsepowers (240 hp / 255lb-ft US model)

arent yours from the Dino a bit low no??
Am i not missing something?

Manufacturers rate engines based on engine dynos or CRANK horsepower. Not many owners remove the engine from a 2 day old car and dyno it, so assume the OP's numbers are WHEEL horsepower. Also, use a nice conservative estimate of 15% driveline loss and you can see that the car is producing over the published figure, about 265 crank.

BMW list the hp/tq at the crank. His numbers are at the wheels.

Add about 17% (drivetrain loss) to his dyno numbers (= 272hp @ the crank).

Oh got it! thanks for the reminder guys!

but now i dont understand why the Manufacturer is being so "humble" or modest ...
Why dont they state the real numbers?

So what about the F30 335i ? would the 6 cyl. engine produce more than what BMW says of the 300hp?
