Does Swift make a full coilover for BMWs? Are they planning to make it for F30?

PROS:
- Ride comfort is infinitely better than H&R with stock springs. Due to the increase in shock travel length and adjustable damping. These are my damping settings. Rear: 3 clicks from softest. Front: 1 click from softest. The ride is similar to a stock Sport Line but you do feel the road more.
- NO MORE bottoming out on tiny bumps! Woo!
- The damping and height is easy for the front. You do have to take the wheel off to raise/lower it, but you can twist it by hand.

CONS:
- Rear damping is idiotically difficult to adjust. You can't adjust the damping like the older models from the trunk. You have to unbolt the top hat to even reach the top of the strut. Luckily this is not too difficult to do.
- Adjusting the ride height is even more idiotic. The spaner that is provided turns the perch AND the coil top. So basically, you're going no where. Later this week, I'm going to McGuyver a remedy.
Don't know if you already figured out an easy way of adjusting the rear ride height yet, but my set of ST coilovers (rehoused KW's) on my Audi provided the same challenge. I figured out an easy solution.

Use a socket wrench and pick up a 10" extension and a 10MM hex socket. Pics of tool below.

Insert the tool from underneath the rear springs (through the opening), all the way up until it reaches the coil top. The coil top has a 10mm hex opening which will mate with the tool.

Here's the trick. You can either:
1) Hold the tool in place, which will lock the coil top from turning, and use the spanner to turn the perch to adjust the height.
2) do the opposite. Hold the spanner and perch in place and turn the socket tool. I find this method to be easier if you're underneath the car.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the explanation and photos. But I already stumbled upon this trick as I searched the internet to find a solution. Coincidentally it was another Audi owner that posted it. I was excited to try it until I found out that the F30 KW V2 kit did not have the hole for the hex tool anyways; the perch is just solid. I don't know if it's just a BMW thing or just the fact that I got one of the first KW kits for the F30. During my research, I've never seen a BMW owner post up this particular solution for their BMW w/ KW. Perhaps KW added the hex hole for the Audi kits?

Dang, if this really is the case, that is a horrible oversight. Can any recent owners of V2 confirm?

Also, I'm close to pulling the trigger on either the Bilstein PSS9 or CKS. If I go with the PSS9, I'll add my findings to this post.

Did I just see somewhere that the Bilstein PSS9 and PSS10 have been released for F30? I can't seem to be able to find them for sale online anywhere yet.

Hey guys, I am new to the car scene and for my first part upgrade I am considering a KW V1 Coilover. I have a 12' F30 335i with all the packages except the M pack, with this I believe I do not have the EDC function. I wanted to ask, do I purchase a KW V1 without the EDC option? if I get it installed will this affect the sport+/sport/comfort/eco pro functions in its entirety or just the suspension portion of it? Thanks in advance for your inputs!

The MPS is not a coilover system. There is another thread (or two) on it. I'm having it installed Monday!

Right, I must have mixed up, there is a coilover system available from BMW itself as I recall, or is it for e90 / e92 only? It comes along with a pneumatic system on adjusting damping rate electronically.

btw... pardon if this is a noob question, my last bmw was a e46 which I sold 7 years ago

That makes you an expert compared to me. I'm not quite sure as this is my first BMW but an OEM coilover system is definitely not available for the F30. I considered a coilover system but I opted to purchase the MPS for two reasons: (i) much less of a drop - only an additional 10mm for the MSport and (ii) OEM.

My friend has a KW coilover system installed on his X6 and loves it (he needed the additional lowering capacity!)
