Yawn.....
I am looking forward to fully test driving a 440i but so far I'm unimpressed with engine sound, 'sport' suspension, wheel design and seats. I'm sure I'll find it better especially after 100k miles on 335i? Right? Right???

Any new "News" on the 440's?
Still nothing on the BMW.de website.
Have placed my deposit on what was suppose to be my 2016 435xi Convert M sport, ED of 1st week of June.
But we haven't actually put in the order. Had planned on doing it at the end of this month but then heard about the 440 and that the 435 convert ends production in 2/16. Spoke with my salesperson and we're trying to find out about the 440 ordering process.

Anyone on here have any inside knowledge (even rumors) they can share?

Really need to get over to Munich so I can talk to someone from BMW directly!

Thanks

So what happens when the 428<430 runs out of numbers before hitting 435 territory? .

Do they go 431, 432, 433 and 434?

I'm guessing the same thing that has already happened. Back in 2006, the 330i used an inline 6. Must be a 10 year cycle deal. In 2026, the 340i will be a 4 banger (with some sort of electrical propulsion assistance, of course).

Speaking of being subjective, I know people who think the 4 coupe is too big and ugly. I happen to like it, but I need 4 doors.

The number 4 is bad luck for Chinese people. 440 has too many 4s in it so I don't think I'll be upgrading

The 4 is indeed too big, but my car is anything but ugly.

Didn't think the car would be so vain when I ordered it, but with M Sport and when clean, the car is a sight to behold with 19s.

I don't think it ugly, just some people I've talked to.

For those of you who have the ability to 'understand' Deutsch...
The 440 models are now up on the BMW.De website for builds!

Just did my 2016 440xi Convert (cabrio) build. Gives you a good idea of what options/packages are available.
Keep in mind, many options that they have to pay for are standard on the US models. But you do end up with a build that includes all the codes for options selected. Then you can just confirm that those options are part of the US packages.

Also, the .De website allows for picking individual Colors and Interiors~ Something the .com site doesn't do.

Happy Configuration!
Always

Talked to CA today and he said no 440 for NA for MY17. Hopefully this is incorrect, looking to order an F36 soon!

A production schedule has been posted on the 'fest that indicates this same thing. In fact there are also no -30i B48 models on the production schedule either. It's a little crazy right now.

Don't they always introduce the newest models in Europe a year or so before they come to the US?

Why not go for the more powerful 3"28"d?

But seriously, I wonder how they will deal with introducing the 325d in the US. Will it be renamed to 329d since they made the stupid decision to call the 320d a 328d

So the MY2017 328i gets the N20--eg, stays the same as it is now, and doesn't become the 330i?

True for 320i. 328i becomes 330i.
