I’m sure this sounds silly, but after coding a few things I find that my trunk pops open when I am backing up. I believe the trunk release button on the keyfob, which I keep in my right pocket, is being pressed against the seatbelt socket when I turn around to look behind me while backing. However, this has never happened before out 100’s of times I’ve backed up. Now, after coding, it happens almost every time I back up.

Is it possible that there was some sort of check to prevent trunk popping while in gear? It seems reasonable that there would be, as trunks popping open during motion is dangerous. I fear I may have somehow disabled or interfered with this assumed feature.

I’m probably way off on this, but I’m just trying determine why this behavior occurs after coding.

Here is a list of features I changed:
-turn signal to 2 from 3 (fembody)
-display speed option for bc button in kombi (kombi)
-m logo in kombi (kombi)
-remove idrive dislaimer (HU_NBT)
-remove pdc disclaimer (")
-ALL seatbelt (ASCM 3000)
-Auto startstorp rmebers prev setting (fembody)
-number of turn signal flash when lock
-tire pressure in tpms
-diplay whole text
-startup animation
-gagues color
-british navi voice
-video handbrake not active

Car was previously never coded.

Have you taken the key out of your pocket and put in the cup holder dan tried it again a handful of times to see if that is the issue?

Yes, I'm placing it in passenger seat now and trunk no longer pops. I believe it was hitting the trunk button as I turned around... seems odd trunk could pop while vehicle in motion though. Only started happening after coding.

I suppose I'll just keep keys in passenger seat now, although it sure was convenient to just leave them in my pocket.

Don't do dat. Three mirrors and a rear view camera give you all you need to see in that direction. You need to look from side to side to cover what the mirrors and camera don't, but you should never turn around. If you do then you can't see both sides.
