F30 Hood Service Position Tool

Bentley service manual shows BMW special tool 51 2 170 will hold an F30 hood in its service position. Anyone own one of these?

You don't need them for 99% of the work you might be doing. All they do is to extend the length of the lifting struts, making the hood opening higher than normal.

I?m familiar with what they do. Service position is unquestionably nicer to work under. I?m surprised I haven?t found any discussions.
