Not sure. Ideally the trunk lockout also locks out the release latch for the seats. Regardless, you can put your other valuables in your car. Sometimes I don't want to carry my entire wallet, so I just bring my ID and a card and some cash and leave the rest in the glovebox. That goes for my sunglasses too.

Well that stinks. If you go Xmas shopping then have dinner where you valet, it's just nice to know the trunk is secured. Unlikely that the valet service would rummage through but it's nice peace of mind.

Interesting...never looked at it that way - I just figured it was something to use if the electronics weren't working. My key is in one of those M-Sport key cases and I can't really separate the two pieces very easily. But since I don't use valet parking, it's of no consequence.
