First problem, 11 days old...
So my car is just 11 days old and the first problem has occurred:
I drove my car to work yesterday morning. Since it was a little dirty, I gave it to the valet at my work garage and asked him to wash it. When I got back to the car, went in and saw the passenger front seat all the way to the front. Tried to pull it back, not working. Used the tilt and other "levers" but it still wouldn't slide back. Got out of the car, still no luck... Once I got home, I tried again, and it worked. Is it something I should be worried about? How can I bring it back and not look like an idiot? (I swear, the button didnt work)??? I'll just look stupid. Any of you experience this? Anything I should do? |

Sorry for the bad news , but I don't think its gonna be anything to worry about.Does the car have motorized levers or a manual pull bar? I'm assuming motorized? The car is brand new, it could just be that things are a little tight and haven't worn in yet. Did you take a peek under the seat to see if there was anything obstructing it? If the seats are adjustments are motorized I would just take it back to the dealer and have them take a quick look. It could be something as easy as a loose wire or a small bolt or nut that got drop and was stuck on the seat track.. Its a new car, it should work like new. You won't look like any idiot by bringing it in. Little things like this happen. Good luck , Let us know how you make out

I used to have an old POS Ford Taurus but it still had motorized seats. Must have been a deluxe car back in 1996... Half of the time it wouldn't work or very slowly. I couldn't stand it. Now it's my current POS car that has intermittent issues with the motorized mirrors.
Hopefully the F30 will be a little more competent at that kind of stuff. |

When we picked up our car we stopped at a fast food place for a quick bite before hitting the road. The passenger seat would not move forward, just up and down. However, after the quick lunch, I tried the switches again and the seat functioned normally and has since then.

If the seat was moved forward they probably were vacuuming the rear floors. Perhaps they jammed the vacuum under the seat and dislodged the wiring...
