Its a public holiday in WA this weekend so from now to 15 October its around 11 business days. But for my sake I hope the sales rep is just managing my expectations and delivery will be slightly earlier.
Either way I am just happy its now here and its just a matter of clearing customs. |

So, do you have a different parliament in Aussieland? If so, I'd be interested in migrating.
The next two weeks should pass quickly for you mate. |

Firstly, Congratulations Mike.T.
Why don't you ask your dealer to let you know as soon as the car is delivered so at least you can see it if you can't take delivery then and there. I did that with my E90. It was GREAT!!!! Second, the Glorious Leader is now powering its way along WA coast, fast approaching Margaret River outlet at the time of this post (1640 EST). ETA in Melbourne has been updated from 2nd October to 2200 on 1st October. Sadly, my dealer has the due arrival date as being 8th October. Perhaps it may be when they take delivery of the car. Then it would be happily. Sounds like a very quick turn around time though.

The Faust arrives in Freemantle tomorrow. 8 days later it hits NSW. I think my car might be the only luxury line in alpine white but every time I get a non white car I tell myself I should have bought white, so this time I went from mineral grey to white since my X5 was space grey.

Yea Jin, I had deep sea blue on the Z4 and I regretted not choosing white after I crossed one on the road, the same with the X5 space grey would look more "luxurious" I was advised, then I saw one in alpine white after I bought mine and it looked quite impressive, so this time I almost went mineral grey and talked about it with the wife and chose alpine white so that I finally have a white BMW and not get the "geez I should have gone white" feeling when I cross one.
Not sure about the luxury wheels, was going to change them, but have decided to leave the car in factory spec. |

Well, if alpine white does not work out, could be a good excuse to update again in 3 years for the LCI, I like the wagon but it does look a little too "soccer mum" for and aging man like myself to be driving it. One of my customers neighbors had a 335 convertible in alpine white in his driveway and it looked great. Guess I will find out in 4 weeks wether it was a good idea or not.
I did look at the mineral white, but I was after that "pure" white look that alpine gives, reminds me of a 260Z that I restored back in the 80's and had it resprayed in the whitest possible baked enamel paint I think they called it 2 pack paint back in those days. On another note, reflect effect recommend me leaving the car with them overnight for the opticoat to cure properly, so it looks like I'll have to spend an overnight stay in parramatta. There is a mobile detailer that lives in my suburb that does opticoat but I cannot find any reviews or customer comments on him and reflect effect was recommended by this forum. |

Fingers crossed. I can't wait to take a day off to drive around town probably to Clayton and back lol. I need some BMW TLC.
Do you reckon we could get the dealers to set the last preference for the ASS before taking delivery>? |

How did they get it through customs so quick? I was under the impression it took 2 weeks to get through. J1n you getting the free 3 year service they are offering? I got a call today telling me my car was on the ship, they didn't realize I knew the ship was landing in Melbourne on the 6th, they did say they will try to get me in the car before the 31st as to get the 360 deal.
In regards to turning the ASS off, I was advised that doing so will affect the way the computer works out the economy on the car or something like that and was adviced to leave it as is, which I will as it doesn't bother me in any case |

AAMI? Really? Reminds me of the saying "the bitterness of poor quality will be remembered long after the sweetness of the low price". |
