So I'm at 63k miles on my 18 340xi, and I'm due for a change. Anyone find a better fluid that doing just the trans fluid and filter change kit off fcp?

I'm hoping to get some info on this as well. Usually other reputable companies have fluids for our transmissions, but it seems like most go with OEM fluids. I'm at 55K and just flashed my car with xHP stg 2.

I just used the Pentosin MTF LT5 oil for my manual transmission. Not expensive.

There's no better/worse than Lifeguard 8 but there is cheaper.

ZF doesn't license ATF.

Is there a specific standard that our transmission uses for fluid spec? I saw dex3, but thats a pretty darn old specification. I was thinking about trying amsoil atf.

Well I couldn't say no to the fcp kit, 155 bucks shipped with the liquimoly should work well.

I have been using Liqui Moly Top Tec 1800 done two trans services so far
One at 33k and one at 59k I will do another at 90-95k as well, the fluid and filter kit is around 170 bucks from FCP which is very reasonable
