Hi guys!
This evening, on a bad asphalt, with my 435i MPPK 335hp/340ps I've tried a LaunchControl just to misure the 0-62mph (0-100kph) and, dispite a significant slip of the rear tyres for the entire 1st gear, that was my result: I'm very surprised! I think that on good grip asphalt it could perform 4"7! |

i have both the MPPK and MPE on my car and have been happy so far.
so the MPPK is said to give 20 more HP and 10 more i am assuming from the MPE right? almost up to where my S4 was! almost there! now what to do for the extra 10 needed? nice write up. Sterling BMW is about 10 minutes away in Newport Beach. I am in the neighboring town. Good Luck OP

MPE doesn't add any, MPPK adds 30.
You want more? Change the downpipe. Or remove MPPK and put JB4. Last edited by amoeba; 05-16-2014 at 09:38 AM.. |

Finally completed the break in mileage and am VERY happy with the MPPK+MPE combo.
Did several 60-70 to 110 pulls last night (my first time going WOT) and loved the power and sound. Honestly, I was surprised how hard it hit right off the punch because I could feel the car lurch back on each hit. Honestly it feels just as strong as my 2006 GTO did with its 400hp/400tq.

Hopefully this isn't too much of this. This seams to be a catch all for MPPK topics. I dropped of my car at 9:00 AM this morning with an appointment to get it installed along with the MPE. Didn't here anything for quite awhile, so I called them at 2:30, 5 1/2 hours later and my SA tells me it will not be ready until tomorrow. He is saying there is a problem with getting the enabling code from Germany. Anybody else have an issue like this? Not pissed, but I am annoyed as it seems like most dealerships are able to get this done within a few hours. FYI car is a 2014.

It was my first WOT and even before that I felt a noticeable, but subtle difference vs my E90 w/o MPPK. I was starting from zero as I'd done before, but then as I went into higher speeds and RPMs I noticed the big difference. There was an unexpected acceleration that was amazing! I'm embarrassed to admit it, but it actually scared me as I wasn't expecting that late surge. I suspect, but obviously no way to confirm, that this is why some feel that the difference in acceleration w/ MPPK is subtle and some feel it is very significant. On this run I not only stomped the pedal, but I even power braked. So I feel like if you are pushing the car for max performance, the difference with MPPK is actually SIGNIFICANT, rather than SUBTLE. If you are not pushing it all the way, the difference is more subtle. Just my humble opinion based upon my MPPK experience... |

I need to try this with my 435xi. Might be able to hit mid 4s.

Good point, I got it back yesterday and everything is good. MPE is quieter than I thought it would be. But, I've heard it takes a while to break in so hopefully it wakes up a bit more in the coming weeks. Overall though I am very happy with the combo. Definitely feel an extra punch going through the gears and the 60-90 highway passing is insane.

Just as expected minn19...
Over Gio72 you get .2 seconds from measuring 0-60 instead of 0-100 kph, and .3 seconds from xDrive. The xDrive 8 AT 335i/435is with MPPK are just as quick as the E92 M3s with DCT according to my butt dyno - at least up to about 140 kph. I'm in agreement with a few other posters here that this is enough - if I do any mods they'll be suspension and tire related.

Excellent! As written below, it could correspond to 4"5/4"6 on 0-100kph.
Considering my big spinning during the test in wich I did 4"9, I'm very happy! Quote:

No, BMW claims 0"3 improvement on 0-100kph for MPPK 335hp (340ps). So, said that for stock step 435i they claims 5"1, the time claimed for 435i MPPK step8m becomes 4"8
