F36 GC EDC Delete
I recently bent my front shock on my 440i F36 and rather than pay a ridiculous $800au for a new shock, I have purchased a ST-XA coil-over setup (steal at $1800au on sale). My car has EDC. I have seen some posts about self coding the EDC out (I can use Bimmercode or an ENET cable) but it seems like it affects the driving modes? (SPORTS, COMFORT etc. I will be Stage 2 + XHP gearbox tuning her soon) I have seen a few posts about having the car coded so it thinks is came from the factory without EDC. Is this something I can do or can anyone suggest a current company that can code this remotely? Cheers for your help.

Yes it’s something you can do in e-sys. You need to VO code the EDC out so the relevant modules are not looking for it. Doesn’t effect the driving moves. I’ve done the same, going from EDC to passive AC Schnitzer suspension kit. If you don’t have e-sys and are doing a bit of coding you may want to look at Bimmerutility the app or desktop interface.
