I was gonna mention the coral red. I think they're def. both coral and I think the new one is way brighter, thought the same on an X1 I saw coral pics of, no longer a fan. F30, now even bigger with less feel and a free automatic, sweet!! Even more reason to buy up E82s with the the tried and true NA I6 (or N55 if excess is your thing) and hydraulic steering while you can Don't love E90 interiors but just hate where they're going with the 3, sorry...and no I haven't and don't plan on driving one as I have no need for the vehicle size wise.

Long Live Coral Red
Every time I see pictures of the coral red interior I get more and more excited about finally getting my car. Should be delivered soon! Mine's Mineral Grey instead of Alpine White, but the white/red combo creates a great contrast. Congrats on your M-Sport, she's a beauty!

The F30 front and rims are nicer than the E90 but that's it the Steering wheel looks like a mustang style... Better on the E90 all black... The F30 diffuser with its reflectors take away the aggressive smooth look the E90 has... The pop up screen actually has a mid to high risk of tension failure... Recommend leaving it up if it can be coded...
Just saw the cup holders and straight line in the hood, and the thin line trim with excess plastic interior on the F30... It's looking more like a DIY mods... Dang it's FUGLY Overall I vote for the E90 |

The way the hood line is cut is a compliance to new pedestrian safety standards. I agree, the Steering wheel does does have that Mustang feel to it but the palm bolsters are thicker. |

Not to mention, the 5er, 6er and 7er have very similar hood line cuts.

Just got a new 328 for a loaner. Interior is marginally better vs old and has a lot of crevices/added on moldings vs old, but the NAV screen seems easier to read. I personally don't think the interior will age as well as predecessors. Also, the HUD plastic frame and/or glass reflects sunlight on the windshield when sun is at angle during the afternoons, which is super annoying and a major design flaw.

E90 all the way. I just think that the headlights of the f30 is too small and i find the slope of the hood from the windshield to the lights quite odd and with the slit of the hood opening not flush to the kidney grills makes it look even weirder.
The interior also looks cheaper with the aluminum trim on the inner door handles instead of the e90's leather handles. I think they are charging more for a cheaper car. Again just my opinion

I spent a few hours driving around an M-Sport 328i this weekend, and I really liked the car. The front end has grown on me big time.

f30 looks better front and back. e90 looks too simple, and therefore cheap. Also love the new double contour lines running along the f30 side, cant believe there's been no mention about that.

I prefer the F30, even though I own an E90 (well, E91 wagon). I do like the raked-back look of the E90's grille a bit more, as to me the F30's kidney grilles look a bit too vertical, too 7-series. But perhaps that was intended. Not a bad thing, just an observation.
Overall the F30 is a much better design, I think. |

Both great looking cars. This thread is so dejavu to all the older threads that came out when the e90(e92) replaced the e46. Everyone (well at least most) hated on the e90 design (more so than the e92) compared to the classic e46. We are just all creatures of habits. We tend to prefer what we are used to seeing. When something new comes out, it usually takes a little time to get used to. At least that's how I feel. I really like the e90 Msport when it first came out and maybe even more today (especially when tastefully modded). I initially didn't like the f30 much, until I saw the msport version and other f30s that were tastefully modded (LTMW's F30 comes to mind).
In the end, I am not in any rush to get an F30. Don't feel like it's worth the extra $$$ compared to an msport e90/e92. But, in 2-3 years, I'd probably be owning one

So is it confirmed that its coral red in that e90 sedan?
Or is it the chestnut color? I thought the red didn't exist on the e90. Anyone can confirm? |

The darkish red like color in the E90 is called Chestnut Brown, since Coral red was available only on the E92/E93.
