Just want to share my before and after!
This is probably more common but I just would like to share my experience with changing the kidney grills on my F30. I have had this car for almost a year now and always thought about changing the grills to a gloss black but never got around to it. This time I finally did and I don't know why I waited so long to do it really.
It took me about 15 minutes to do this whole install. The hardest part was taking out the first old chrome grill after that it's easy breezy. Im a girl with already small hands/arms and I still found it hard to access the clips from behind the grills! Installing the new ones literally took 10 seconds, 15max!! But here's a before and after look, totally worth it! |

Looks great and I agree, really easy to replaced if you got small hands. No need to pop the hood and remove any screws. Great job! :-)

I have small hands so I was able to access the clips through the grills so I did't have to take out any screw. The first one is the hardest to take out but once you have one out you, you'll have more room to access the second grill. Goodluck!

I'd like to swap out Modern line grills with either matte black or CF so it matches if I get the CF mirror caps. Has anyone done this? Pics?
