Hopefully not a terrier attack.

While they have used vehicles before, London Bridge at night is not as full as during the day.

Seems more odd than an actual attack.

Hopefully no serious injuries.

Dont! That means these cretins are winning.

The media do not help by 'sensationalising' the headlines, competing to be the first, with shock, horror headlines. They are doing the work for these twats.

Totally agree.

It's even a race on twitter for politicians to see who can get in first.

The news outlets really need to drop this sensationalism

Watching this in the US seems like 6 fatalities plus 3 attackers dead and many more injured (circa 20). Used to walk London Bridge 2X a day... I now have offices in 4 World Trade and was vacationing in the US on September 11th 2001. Having lived in S London during the IRA times this is just sad to see.

Hope those injured make a recovery.

Edit: 30 injured at 11:12 eastern / 4:12 gst

Waking up to news of yet another attack in the UK is heart breaking. I sounds like the terrorist where running into bars and clubs.
Still in total shock, politicians especially Donald Trump has jumped on the wagon trying to use it as the reason they need a Muslim ban.

Not good at all, more innocent people murdered on our streets when going about their day to day business.

Obviously none of us really know what has happened behind the scenes since the Manchester attack but surely our government now has to make a positive and determined effort to get some of these "known" people off our streets, get them rounded up and locked up until each one is thoroughly investigated to determine whether they are a genuine threat, thus situation cannot go on. If the authorities temporarily imprison somebody who then turns out to be innocent, well, I'm afraid that's the way it goes, it's a time of emergency and we had to be certain, I know it sounds simplistic but for God's sake, let's do something. As I see it, this cycle is only going to continue and will probably get worse. We cannot have this situation where children and innocent citizens are laying on mortuary slabs because we are scared to remove or impinge upon the civil liberties of persons of interest.

23k known in this country for being involved with some kind of terrorism, 3k are being watched. Do the maths.

This will continue to happen until this country grows some balls and takes action.

Sickening.

So sad. We have a family outing to Hyde Park on 1st July to see Green Day et al. Booked a nearby hotel too, 6 of us, been planned for a year.

Just sat in bed watching the news with Mrs P, who's opinion is... don't go. We will go, but it will be in our minds and will taint the anticipation and the event.

It occurs to me that as Mrs May is sitting down for a Cobra briefing today, she'll also be thinking of the election on Thursday.

Maybe she'll take the step suggested by others on here to be significantly more assertive with the known/watched individuals. It'd be a bold step as it's a strategy that election-wise could backfire. But I can see it being an option for her.

They can't make any changes to legislation until after the election I believe.

I think something needs to change, however, 20k is a lot of people to monitor, especially for a police force that has had so much cuts to their budget!
