Possible to Get this Price?
Hey guys, using BMW config, i got this quote. I would prefer if i could keep it around this price too. I only have 43k-ish to spend on the car. What do you guys think. Possible or no?
Also, do you guys advise that i try to snag one right when the 2013 328xi sedans release or wait a couple of months? I went to BMW of Rockville two days ago and the lady at the dealership said the 2013 3 series would get in december btw, any good recommendations for dealerships in md/va/dc area? |

Looks like I won't be going to that dealership anymore ha.
But what do you think about the quoted price? Possible or do you think I'll be paying a lot more over invoice. |

$43k and a little change (plus TT&L) is very do-able. The amount of work you have to do to get that price will vary from dealer to dealer, but you should definitely contact multiple dealers.
That price in your screen shot already included $200 for training - this fee varies by dealer. If I were you, I'd subtract that amount and call the result "Invoice Cost". Send your configuration, with that invoice cost to multiple dealers by email and say, "I'm ready to buy as soon as I get the best price - how much over this invoice cost (including all dealer doc/training fees) can you do? Look forward to working with you." Hope this helps.

Also, when would you advise me to start shopping around? July when it first releases or a couple months later when (hopefully) demand decreases. |

And order now!!! No reason to wait unless you just prefer to get the car in your hands later in the year. As said above, if you order now, you'll receive car no earlier than September.

You guys are def tempting!! Any ideas on how the transaction goes for a preorder? Do you have to put some money down to commit or no?

Mine wasn't a "pre-order". The official BMW system for ordering MY13 opened up right around last Thursday. He entered my config and it shows up in their system.
My CA said he didn't need a deposit because 'we can sell this thing in 10 minutes if you don't want it'. I insisted on leaving $1k just to feel like there is more of a connection between me and this particular car/order.

Just thought of something. When you preorder a 2013 model. Does the dealer keep the price offered when you first make the order or are they noncommittal till the car actually comes in. Which then the price might be a lot higher than the invoice.

dealers now have the MY 13 MSRP and Invoice pricing. Those numbers aren't changing. Dealers that say they don't have pricing are either out of the loop, aren't trying hard enough or potentially misleading you.

you will usually agree to the price before the order unless you know your dealer wont mess with you in situations like these early orders some of us have placed when the actual financials are not confirmed, so a negotiated deal cannot be finalized. But, in a short time the residuals will be confirmed and then from that point forward, you would know the exact price of the car and options and financials, so you would agree to a price and sign a commital and sign the finance papers upfront which specifies all the actual costs you agree to

For those who may not know, BMW offers a "multiple security deposit"/MSD program on leases. For every extra deposit you put down on your lease, the MF is reduced by .00007. You can do a total of 7 MSD's for a total reduction of .00049/1.18% on the MF.
In an example lease, I used an MSRP of arond $51,000 with a near $500 over invoice selling price. 10K miles/65% residual, MF of .0019, and a 7% monthly sales tax. Monthly payment is about $603. With a MSD reduced MF of .00141, monthly drops to $560.32 In this scenario the MSD's would cost $600 X 7 = $4200. Security deposit is calculated to the nearest next $50, so $560 is $600, $620 would be $650, $680 would be $700, etc... BONUS: I found this on edmunds.com today. It's listed for the 335i but not for the 328i. This runs from June 1st to July 9th 2012 $1,000 Option Allowance is available towards leasing or retail purchases. Option Credit offers Bonus Cash towards any option (currently equipped or ordered). May be combined with special financing available through BMW Financial Services. Option Credit is included in TMV® pricing. See participating dealer for details. To me, it's looks like $1000 off on any 335i that has at least $1000 worth of options added to it. Allowance and bonus and rebates get state sales tax. I'm going to ask my dealer if I can apply this allowance to my 2013 order. Any of you who ordered a 335i within that time frame should ask you dealers about this as well. Post what the responses are. Last edited by RPM90; 06-04-2012 at 07:27 PM.. |

Hey guys,
Just spoke to the dealer. Msrp is 45000 but he would give it to me at 42,800 ish. Roughly 400 over invoice. Quick question. I see BMW doing this college grad promotion, something about a $1000 incentive. Does that mean I could get it for 41,800? |
