Disable The Turn Signal Sound?
My search-fu must be weak because I can't believe I'm the only person who thinks the "BLINK BLONK!!!!!!" noise on the turn signals is absurdly loud and annoying. I don't recall this being the case from my test drives, but I just picked up my ride today and it's seriously bugging me.
I tried checking the manual, searching F30post and Google, poking around through iDrive, etc. No luck. I feel like I'm missing something obvious. Any help? |

I seriously doubt that the turn signal sound can be turned down or disabled.
I believe in my car and also a loaner car gives the same level of sound which i hardly hear.

Doesn't it sound to you like an artificial piped-in sound? It's definitely not just the sound of the relay. I can't imagine why it'd need to be loud enough to drown out my music...

Here is what you could do, you mentioned that the test car you drove wasent as loud as you currently own?
It would be a good idea to go to a dealer and compare side by side of one of their same car as yours, regardless of line

Sorry i cant help, but....
In the Jaguar XF they are really loud as well, given the age of most Jaguar drivers in the UK this is presumably so the owner can differentiate between the turn signal and their pacemaker... |

I agree, they are loud. Every time I'm on the phone while driving, the caller will ask what "that noise" is in the background.
The loaner F30 I'm currently driving doesn't seem to be as loud for some reason. I noticed it immediately. |

I am not sure this is possible, would be interesting if it was. When I'm talking on the phone over the car's bluetooth system, everyone finds the turn signal noise to be excessive.

Every time I get a loaner (about 4 times now) the turn signal sound is distinctively louder. My car sounds like subtle quiet clicks where all the others sound like two walnuts being clicked together loudly. I always thought something was wrong with mine (or right because I prefer it to be quieter).

That's weird, I can barely hear mine unless everything is off in the car and it's really quiet. Then it seems loud.
With any road noise or music playing at any volume, I can't hear it at all. When I first got my car I noticed the signal light on when I pressed it too far to change lanes. |
